2 Timothy 4: 3. Are we this type of Christian?

2 Timothy, Chapter 4 verse 3 written "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear."
In this modern world, more and more Christian refuse to follow the law according to what the Bible said. There are always a way for today Christian deviate from the teaching.
And what made thing worse, more and more Christian accepting the so call modern way of life which deviate the teaching of Christianity.
Brother and sister, please remember this. Teaching of Christ is the only way of Salvation. It might be painful for us, but it is the way to eternal life.

Thank you for sharing this. It has somehow reminded me of what is pure and what is good. I admit I haven't been really a good Christian lately but I know there's no way to having a peaceful good life except to follow God.

Fully agree. Speaking of pain...Jude 3...Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
that ye should earnestly contend in the Greek is ...epa??????µa? (epagonizomai, ep-ag-o-nid’-zom-ahee)
The middle of that Greek word when transliterated almost spells our word "agonize."
No pain, no gain.

Apologies accepted. It is indeed that the Word Of GOD does painful to our ear. That also happen before Jesus coming, when Jesus was on earth and after Jesus ascended to heaven. We love our sinful way because it give us more pleasure. When people tell us what we done is wrong, we feel hurt. We even feel more hurtful when people said what we done will bring us to hell and we must repent and stop all those sinning.

I just re-accepted Jesus Christ into my heart yesterday and the pastor was talking about the same type of things.
People take things the way they want to and the easiest way for them to deal with. We will all make mistakes but we should definitely be trying to live a Christ Like Life.

Praise the LORD. We always want to do what we want. We forget our religious view because our darker side keep persuade us to do wrongs according to our own will even if it against our religion.
But with the help of Holy Spirit and his guidance, we will soon find our fauith back in GOD and we will surely feels more comfortable with our Christian life.

That, unfortunately, is already taking root in this day and age. People are starting to become selfish now -and it's not just selfishness in a material sense. There are people nowadays who are making spirituality conform to their own view of the world.

What very sad is, there are even some Christian making their own group because they want to set their own rule.
I even heard somebody said like this. "I Don't want to go to the church anymore because the priest hurt my feeling with his sermon. I will only go if the priest has change and the new priest more friendly with his sermon."
Sad but true, that sort of thing is happening. Why should we feel hurt? Because we have sin. That what the verse said, we want the teacher to teach what we want to hear only.

Amen! God will not change what so called modern way of life, but instead God will change the people yes modern teaching are just like new technologies nowadays we want be to be non hassle we want faster we like high tech,etc.. but GOD need our heart to serve yes they were good for us but too much of it makes laziness attitude on the people. we were not living on law but of grace but when someone do mistakes etc.. or either on the way around and doesn't make since when we on both side yes in that way we cant teach but we can change and yes those word through GOD will make a way when their since to be no way.
