well she is. See, next week we have two days holiday... monday - which is the celebration of The Eid'l Fitr ( correct me if i am wrong in the spelling) that's our muslim brothers and sisters celebration, so it was announced a no work day. yipppeee! and on Tuesday - A special non working holiday too as it is a commemoration day for Ninoy Aquino ( a hero here).. so we are quite looking forward to a very long weekend.. BUT an officemate of mine ( i guess there are really species like her) she is not happy about it she even told us WHY? lol.. i mean duh. me and some are looking forward because we can spend more time with our family and get to REST while she.. her reason is that she does not know what to do at home duh. ( she does not have kids..married but no kids) and she even said, why dont we work on those days.. the time is wasted. i was like wahhtt? duh. such a grinch.

I kind of pity her. Her words only showed that she does not have a life outside work. She should not only know how to work hard but to play hard as well. Holidays are created for us to have more time for family and for other non work-related stuff. Enjoy the holidays ahead! ;)

She is one big son-of-a-grinch. Maybe she's just a work-a-holic that's why she wanted to work during the holidays. Or maybe she's having an affair with the head janitor, and she's just sad to cancel "Monday Quickies" for the holiday with her husband.

Awww! I'm just sad for her! I guess she has a miserable life and her only life is her work. It's really sad. Whew! I mean, married but not looking forward to spending time with the husband?! Whew!! I hope I wouldn't be like that. I hope I'd be like the many who's going to enjoy the long weekend! Whew! I am so happy because my long weekend starts tomorrow!!! I don't have work for 1 week! hahahaha.. Yippey!!!!! And I am going to spend each day to the fullest!!! Anyhow, I am still sad for her. But perhaps she just wanted some attention. You should have told her that she could actually work on those days. She could work on her personality! hahahahaha... Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

For me I think I call her party-pooper lol! Well, maybe she's just trying to brag a little bit on how she have full-reigns on her schedule and how she's got a lot of time for herself that she actually prefers working. Either that or she wants to have this image of being a workaholic. Whatever her reasons maybe, don't let her ruin your holiday mood =) Next time she whines about having nothing to do at her house, offer her to drop by your place and help to clean up haha!

hi jazel__juan what a grinch , she is going to become a workaholic and en d u p with heart trouble. also she may not want to admit it but with no kids and home while hubby might be working she feels lonely.but by saying all that downer crap she alienates what friends she could make. like most people if I were working again I would love to have two holidays and not want to spoil others fun in thinking about time with one's family. I feel sorry for her in a way as she is obviously her own worst enemy putting her foot in her mouth telling downers that will not endear her to her workmates. yes a grinch indeed and one who may end up with heart disease unless she c omes to grip and takes time off.

How sad! Hope she's not "mean" like the grinch though! I don't know how anyone would want to work rather than have some vacation time . . . is it that she loves her work or does she just not love to be at home? That must be a sad commentary on her marriage life too - just guessing. Well, perhaps she is right that work time is wasted, but I hope she doesn't waste her life away by working too much!!

Well, she can work her a__ off, as long as she does not force others to work with her lol. I can't believe there are people like her. Oh, I also have an officemate who loves going to work despite being sick (she has an auto immune disease) because she does not want to stay at home with her retired husband. Maybe, your officemate does not want to spend time with her husband, and is making work as an excuse to avoid him. She must be one unhappy person to like going to work when it's supposed to be a holiday (that or she looks forward to overtime pay, too.
