Never Ending questions

kids - Kids start to ask a lot of questions as they learn to speak

I have a five-year old niece who keeps on asking a lot of things. Well kids are really like that. They start asking as soon as they learn to speak. With wide, eager eyes, they look up at you and ask such things as : What are the stars made of? Who taught the birds to sing? Why is the sky blue? Why fish can breath underwater? Why the sun is hot and many more. Why, why,and why. You may try to answer but it is not always easy. Even your best answer may lead to yet another question. Well, kids are not the only ones who ask questions. As we grow up, we keep asking. We do this in order to find our way, to learn of dangers that we need to avoid or to satisfy our curiosity. So just like kids, we keep on seeking for answers to the important questions. I'm sure we'll find the search can be very rewarding..

I think it is a healthy sign that you niece is developing normally and is now getting ready to learn. I would be glad to be more curios about the world he lives in and as a person more knowledgeable you should always be ready to answer it so that they would not be left wondering and stop exploring new things in life. I think you should be happy your niece is doing all of that sort of things.

So your niece is at the Why? stage, the only thing to do is try and answer as well as we can and hope it satisfies their curiosity, I remember one of cousins used those learning shows and they seemed to help - where they explain why the sky is blue etc, and since her daughter didn't read to well it was the best way to satisfy her curiosity. The questions are even when answered may not satisfy their curiosity but children are children and they should find the world fascinating, which is fun to see, because the garden with the flowers we see every day is boring to us at times but for them it is a new world, it is fun to see the excitement of finding something new, even if only for their own entertainment.

I tend to believe that the majority of the reason that children ask so many questions is because of the fact that everything in the world is very new to them. In addition to that, children's brains are rapidly expanding during the early years of their lives and they want to learn as much as they possibly can. There are many things that children are interested in and I think that it is very important to indulge children in their questions while they are very young.

a pleasant day litvillegas, with reference to your post, i guess it is normal. hence, their curiosity also begins whenever they see a lot of things around. as a result, they also begin to ask a lot of questions. and because curiosity is not only for kids, hence, even an adult also asked questions.

Having that kind of child is a blessing..great blessing. It simply shows that the child is eager to learn to learn and has a great opportunity to be more informative. I know that sometimes you also feel irritated if their doing that so.But just bear it since you're also like that before,,,We don't know you're more than that child...lol

Yes, I do agree with you. Children often asks a lot of questions. Some of them are difficult to answer. We haven't finished answering them they're alreary asking another question. Haha. But it's nice to have children around. We too, us grown ups, have so many questions. Deeper questions and more difficult to answer. Happy myLotting!

I just want to tell you that please have more patience to kids when they ask questions. I think its our obligation as adults to satisfy their curiosity and hunger for knowledge. I'm sure our parents had done the same for us and if they get tiered answering all my questions, I would not be able to give my point of view to your post this minute.

Kids are at their best questioning things around them. Their refreshing questions make the best humorous conversations I've had. At one time my friend's son asked me why trees wanted to be trees. Why wouldn't they choose to be humans. He also wanted to know how trees peed! Being adults make us afraid to ask questions. We expect ourselves to know the answers already. And when someone tries to be honest about not knowing the answer he suffers the fate of being thought to be stupid or ignorant (depending on his audience of course).

hello yeah, sometimes their questions are really humorous for us but for them it's a big serious thing. And yes adults have questions too..Sometimes we are hesitant to ask because we scared to be embarrassed..lol Thanks abitcurious Have a great day

When kids are inquisitive it mean they are eager to learn. When they are silent, we have to worry about that. My son is very inquisitive and couldn't be easily satisfied with a simple answer. I'm glad that he is because it tells me his brain is working and analysing things. I have a lot of questions too that I would love to ask, but sometimes i keep just keep quiet.

Oh,,your son might be smart,,Yeah,,I'm sure about that!,:).. I noticed also that the more they asked a lot of questions the more they gain knowledge...And that's true kids who eager to ask a lot of questions means the're analyzing a lot of things.. We should appreciate that..:)..Regards to your kids...:)

I love when kids start giving adults a hard time due to their incessant questions. Kids really can absorb everything they are exposed to and unless you're at the receiving end of these questions, it's really fun to hear the question and answer with young kids. When my siblings are still of that age, I found out that candies, chocolates and ice pops are a good diversion to keep their mouths occupied in some other way. Enough time for me to take my leave and let my mom handle their questions.

I love when my niece started to talk and asked a lot of questions. It also gives us the opportunity to teach them as well. I smiled when you mention about the chocolates, ice cream pops to keep their mouths occupied.. Perhaps my sister do it and let me handle all her daughter's questions..lol Thanks and have a great day..^_^

Children in this stage are eager to learn. They wanted to know everything because of their curious minds, and its a part of human development. As adults, we are here to provide all information they need. Though it's a bit annoying but it's a one way of teaching them and giving them the ideas of everything.
