Problem of Rates

I have serious problem of rates in my house. I used many device to stop these. Plz tell me how I can keep away rates from my house.

Anil, you have misspelt the word rat ....I feel that when there is availability of food rats come into your house.Try to keep everything closed and if not possible keep all the food stuff in one room and lock it up during night.Rat poison is very effective....You can once get all your stuff moved out of the house and after cleaning the house put everything back in order , which really helps...all the best anil, hope you are able to get rid of them

Thats ok anil,typing mistakes happen to all of us from time to time ! 
.Anil, the best thing would be to once keep all your stuff out and clear up your house so that rats are forced to move out and then try to secure your house by closing all gaps and holes ...main thing is that you will have to do it thoroughly to get positive results, but it is possible !

Im not sure what rates are. Is someone rating your house or what? I dont know how to keep rates away becasue sometimes having someone coming in and rating your house isnt always a bad thing at all.
Now if your having the pest of rats in your house then you need to set up rat traps and rat poison to kill them, but thats pretty disgusting to me. If i had rats i would probably move.
