Can you please share your knowledge and skills with blogger.com?

Blogspot has very confusing content policies. I know that they are against affiliated links. But now I hear that they suspend blogs that promote products and businesses. One lady at Yahoo Answers said she ended up with this fate. People told her to use the blog only for giving updates and not to write stuff that makes her look like she is promoting something. I quite don't know how to structure a post in that way unless the business has many events.
