To the farmers the rain is really a blessing specially to those that are in the mountain that only depends to the rain for the irrigation of their crops especially during summer time people in the mountains are always praying for the rain. It gives them joy and excitement every time the rain drops starts falling in their head and they will always think that it is the blessing of God for them, but on the other side for the people that lives in Manila what do they think of the rain? What do they feel every time the rain drops starts falling on their head? As we heard on the news even a normal rain can cause floods in some part of Manila or Luzon. While others are praying for the rain but people in Manila are crying Rain Rain Go Away... Every year people in Manila are experiencing these problems that gives to some people the fear or phobia to the rain. There would be no solutions to these problems? Why is it the problems of the flood in Manila is repeating every year? What do you think?

It happens mainly because of the geographical conditions and need to be made certain artificial changes in the region. Here we know that some of the areas used to get rains for a particular period for a particular areas. With a period of 4-5 years, the business man from that area were removed a lots of earth for construction purposes and moved the hilly areas and the height of the hill become 1/3 of what it was about 5 years before. So that what now, there is no rains in this areas except the monsoon times. So, the western ghats misty-wind is not blocked by the hills and it moves away by the wind and it never stops. The net result is there is no more specific rains which was blessed earlier. Similarly, some changes by nature can make alterations in the climatic conditions. This is not to be considered in a micro level, it should happen widely.

Hi, Yes, that is what actually happening. We won’t think much about the environmental implications by doing certain changes in the natural phenomenon. However, these days, the government is much concerned on such matters and they private agencies won’t get approval for such things and for any plan of action we need to apply for such things, they will examine and verify the impact and implication and after considering all the prose and cones, they will approve otherwise it will get rejected by suggesting alternative options or best solutions for the same. Thanks for your comments.

What a good explanation thanks1961, maybe you are right that maybe because of the improvement of that place and needed to build big buildings they have to cut some trees excavate the place to make it flat and instead that area is high above sea level it now levels to the sea...
