Just in Time

I wake up late this morning because of the event last night. I hurriedly took a bath and prepare to go to the office. I know that my supervisor will also be late as he was already drunk last night but I still want to come to work on time. I don't want him to think that because he is very understanding and he is not strict, we will already take the opportunity and we will not do our best to be always on time. Besides, I really don't want to be late in any appointment. I was running when I got down from the vehicle and I was just in time to reach the office when the bell rings.

You expect your boss to be late because he was out and drunk? That doesn't seem like a very good example he's setting at the workplace. Maybe he should be evaluated in his work ethics.

I consider my new supervisor as one of the best in this field Bulletsmama. Having a drinking session with the officials of the village is part of having a smooth interpersonal relationship with the community. It happened that the event was done in the evening.

Lucky you! It's good of you though to still be there despite of all the happenings. I had the same experience when i was still working. I was out drinking with the manager and some colleagues and went home pretty late. The following day I was at the office early and tried to work but hangover caught up with me, I had to rest for a couple of minutes in the lounge.

Hi toni. Actually, I did not drink too much, maybe just enough to make me sleep. And even though I sleep late, I really just wake up early, though this time I woke up not so early. Thanks for sharing toni.

I have gottan going to work late in the past. Not that I over slept but for other reasons. Like I stop somewhere before work and it takes longer then usual. Car troubles have delayed me. Weird thing like having a cop car parked in front of the parking lot where I park my car at night! Had to wait until he was done before I could leave! Same thing happen with a fire truck and ambulance! They came becasue some neighbor woman stabbed her boyfriend in the leg! When I first moved where I live now I was late becasue someone visting a neighbor had blocked my car in! Parked right in back oof my car! Sometimes I get going a little late and do make it on time to work!

I think your a responsible person and your Supervisor is a lucky person having you in his wing. One of the biggest mistake an ordinary employee must learn is that a boss and a subordinate have different role in an organization. I assume that you two are happily enjoying the "event" last night. There problem is that he can be late and you cannot. Its one perks a Supervisor may have in which his subordinate can only hope to have. He can be late and you cannot do anything to reprimand him. But if its the other way around (and becomes a habit), he had all the power to reprimand you. Anyway, I think your not kind of person who doesn't abuse your Supervisor's kindness.

Thank you fulltank for that wonderful response. Yeah, I really don't want him to think like that also. I want that with my short time stay in this place, I will get a positive feedback.

Being a timely worker makes one stick out. There is nothing worse than people coming a few minutes late each day to work. Sure you might not get into trouble but it shows on your nature etc. Keep up the effort and I am sure you will stand out from your co-workers.

True. Being employed means to be responsible and not being late for work at all cost.

I am glad to know that you are on time in your office work. I believe that with those traits and qualities, you have the ability to succeed financially and other areas of your life. Financial success doesn't happen by accident. It happens to those who have the desire to be financially successful - and knows to be in the right place. If you apply those qualities like being early in your work, in the right business, I believe you will succeed tremendously in the area of finances and being wealthy. May you find the right vehicle for success. I believe you.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful thought. I hope everything that you have said will come true. I am doing my best to give the life that I've never experience during my childhood to my children. That is why I am really working hard and trying to find other ways to earn whether online or offline.

Good thing that you arrived in the office just in time. There are times that I am also like that.Just take the stairs and run just to be on time in the office.Well for now,I do leave the house earlier that before cause it is quite traffic nowadays due to floods in some areas due to continuous rain last week.

Dear Aries, you are such a good guy,if it is me and got up late this morning,I would rather be late to office since I have the excuse, your supervisor stayed with you and drunk, right? So in my mind he must understand you.So you really a good guy and the company which hire you is worth of it definitely.
