Sometimes when I hit a roadblock I just want to go off and lick my wounds, but again there are only so many options, handle it like an adult, admit y ou goofed and suck it in.Know you can still mylot and still have fun here.Or you can get all moody and refuse' to touch mylot like a little kid saying "I will eat wor ms and then I'll die and you'll be sorry you picked on me." That really after all that does not appeal to me.So I think I will just start over, being more careful to obey all the dos and donts and again mylot like crazy. your take fellow mylotters? I am sorry that friends suffered from my goof but I shall be really careful now.

hi bunnybon my hubby used to say will this matter five years from now and I would stop stewing about something and agree it would not matter 5 years from now.Yes I doubt if any of us are perfect since we are human " beans" as a little boy once said and human "beans make mistakes. He was so serious and I and the young clerk in Walmart who had been arguing over a five dollar error stopped to listen to the little boy,. then I realized it was my error in math not the clerks so I apologized. He grinned then ran off and I never got to see his mom or grandmom. one of them had taught him so much.

You know if that is the worse thing you ever ever do in your life consider yourself lucky. As my spouse oftens says "don't sweat the small stuff" and that is really small stuff. Life is to short to get your undies in bunch over stuff like that. Time to talk about other things. Enjoy the day and Enjoy the Journey.

Hatley, it happens. It is not like you did it on purpose. The thing is to pick up and go on and make up for a little lost time. You will have lost more than any of us.

hi gardengerty nope I sure did not do it on purpose but this teaches me to do some research. yep I lost 40 cents, as i had been coming up with over a dollar each day I have been back but I can make that up pretty easy too. So now I am back to normal and sucking it up and moving on again.I was ill last nightt for awhile but am fine now. something I ate evidently and now I am okay.Like one mylotter said if thats the worst of your problems think yourself lucky and yes I am lucky, no outstanding bills some money in the bank a place to live and I am not g oing' hungry, so yes pretty small problem that. lol

From what I read you have only made three 'goofs' even though you have 52000+ so I guess you are getting something right! We might even think that there was some sort of favouritism going on if you never ever 'goofed' at all Seriously though, move on dear Hatley We ALL have lost a post here and there on our journey here. The important thinkg is not to make a habit of it but you are not doing that at all sp not to worry. You are forgiven!

Only the starter of the deleted topic will receive the reason in the notification. I presume it was a repeated topic and no doubt Hatley will inform us.

It's okay Hatley. It happens to the best of us and no one is upset with you over it. I know I'm not. I honestly did not see anything wrong with your discussion anyway but its not up to me. Lol. I am glad your going to move on and still be here having fun with us. This place would not be the same without you!

hi LovingMyBabies after the initial shoc k I realized I had neglecter to check for other similar ones so live and learn. I felt upset and hurt then realized one could just sit , stew'adn do nothing. Or get up, dust myself off, and start all over again,. I know I cannot go wrong making discussions from my own life'and sharing with others and reading what all you my friends have to say too. I love mylotting and I guess I have to admit I can goof with the least of them. he he.I am so comfortable here mylotting,. So i am going to be happy again.

I agree with loving my friend without Hatley aunty this place is not valuable at least for me. Because one active member HWG is already not here. Aunty I never see the mistake in your discussion I always enjoy some time feel sad when you not feel well. If not understand then ask you so no problem for me.

Hi Aunt Hatley, don't feel worry and sad about it. Sometimes, we should learn from our mistakes, then only we are able to improve our self. everyone of us are not perfect, so we will need to learn from mistake then only we will understand as which is right and suitable for us. Same for us in Mylot here, we should continue be here, nor matter if we had encountered many deleted discussions. Hope you are doing fine everyday...

We are all only human and that does mean that we do make mistakes from time to time. It is something that happens to each and every one of us and for that reason I don't think that it would ever be the right solution to just stay away from mylot because of a mistake that you've made. I do think that we do all need to review the rules and regulations of mylot from time to time, whether we've only made a few posts or whether we've made thousands of posts on here.

Hi Hatley! Honestly, I still don't see the goof in your discussion, really I don't. I know I've done a discussion similar to yours - in fact I can think of a few other myLot friends who have done the same . . . but I don't recall that ours was deleted. So maybe it's just a matter of who is picky "up there" on a particular day at a particular time. Everyone has their own twist as to what they write, even if it is a topic that has been done before . . . so it really was shocking to me (and others) that it got deleted!! I mean how many similar ice cream and pizza discussions have we seen that we've heard a gazillion times yet those don't always get deleted? I'm sorry if I called attention to the matter, I didn't mean for it to upset you. In fact, my discussion will most likely be deleted too!!! It's not about failure . . . heck, if it were, I would have left a long time ago. Look at it this way . . . at least you know that a lot of your friends stand behind our dear Hatley ! We all put a little more glue onto this bond we have at myLot each day . . . and for a bunch of us this has nothin' to do with the earnings. So no worries, Hatley!! You just keep being you and discuss as you always do!

I don't see that as a major problem. After all, there are thousands of discussions here on MyLot and you are bound to duplicate some of them along the way. It is almost impossible to not. I am not angry and I am sure no one else is. Just do what you said you will do from now on. I have had discussions deletes before. It happens. And sometimes I do like to see a new discussion on a subject that already exists. Different views.

No man in the world so wise that he doesn't make mistakes.I think admitting your goof is not something disgraceful,on the contrary you will win praise from others.I am so ill-informed that I think over and over about "I will eat worms and then I'll die..."and don't get what It means until I search it online. It turns out to be a lyrics.

actually even if there are too many options, you will be given only a few to try with and not all would ideally work all the time for sure. that happens some times, even our friends suffered for doing good things, but we have to just let it go.keep doing good

Access the situation and figure out what you did wrong. Start with a clean slate. You will be better the next time around.

The points are quite true. But I do disagree with "Start with a clean slate". There is no such thing as clean slate. Once done, it is already part of your history. I must say, start with a new chance or opportunity. You can never go back to clean slate as when you have started before. Just my two cents in.

Hatley, we must be sportive and take every thing as easy, it is really hard to avoid deletions, some times we violate the rules with or without our knowledge and our topic or reply is deleted due to it, we learn a lesson from it and careful afterwards

I'm not too sure what you're talking about, but it sounds like you may be apologizing for a discussion being deleted? If so, you don't need to apologize. What would anyone lose, one cent? Probably less than that. You lose more by getting it deleted. So don't worry about anyone here. We just have to take care of our Hatley.

Hi Hatley dear.... I'm guessing you've had a discussion deleted and can understand your frustration however, like you said, lick your wounds and move on and just do the best that you can in the future, right? In all honesty, I don't understand why mylot associates are so touchy at times but it is what it is and we just have to accept it and well, move on. :/

You know Hatley, my little sweet chickadee, it's not worth your time to linger on it at all. We all love you here and no one really cares, after all, we all responded to it so we had no idea either. You're not any more a fool than we are, we're all goofballs and are only looking for fun. Don't sweat your little head off about this..it's no biggie. You just be yourself, that's what we all love!!

I presume your discussion got deleted under the ´repeat discussion´ rules? It´s happened to me a few times recently, and never before, so I´m wondering if they´ve suddenly tightened up on this. Or perhaps there have just been so many discussions now that it´s inevitable that some will be repeated over and over.

And there are lots of lessons to learned too. handling a success is quite very easy, but failures, no. If one can handle it correctly and learned from it, one can be sure to reached his or her goals. The key is to keep on trying and learn from each failure. If Thomas Edison had quit on his 100th trial for his light bulb experiment, the human population would still be in the dark age. Its because of his perseverance and learning from each failures that he perfected the light bulb as we know it today. Many people simply turned back and quit even the first failure, and never been successful in their lives.

Fortunately, I don't have discussions deleted just yet. But if ever I had one, I will surely admit my mistakes and move on from it. However, I should know or determine the cause or the mistake itself so that next time I won't be doing the same mistake again. Failures are part of life, but how to handle them makes all the difference in the world. I am no guru in handling failures as sometimes I do tend to become emotional and throw myself out of the problem. But in my experience, handling them at head on collision pace is the best way to do. So getting a discussion deleted, I will just face it man up and continue what fun I am doing and learn while moving on with such mistake.
