Help! What's the Movie?

My mom has never seen Moulin Rouge, so I was just showing her some of my favorite songs from it on youtube, including "The Finale" song. And the finale reminded her of another movie, but she can't figure out what it is. She said the lead gets shot in it while he is with the woman he loves. He is shot by a jealous husband/boyfriend? And he is killed. My mom believe's he is shot while they are on stage, so she thinks it is a musical (but not 100% sure). So does anyone know a musical where the lead actor is shot and killed while on stage? Thanks!

There is a movie about two magicians set in the early 1900s maybe and they are friends at first then they both fall in love with the same woman and one of them is shot on stage (in the hand) but not at the end. I think Hugh Jackman is one of the actors.

I know what you're talking about, it has Hugh Jackman, Christain Bale and Scarlett Johanson. But my mom has never seen that movie and that is def. not the one she is thinking about. And she thinks that whoever is shot is killed at the end, so I think it's like a drama/musical. She thinks they are singing while he's shot.

Haha I'm trying to remember what that movie is called without looking it up! Was Carousel ever made into a movie, or is it just done on stage?

Nope can't think of one where someone was shot on stage. Does she remember who the actor was or any of the actors in the movie? If you can think of anyone who acted in the movie you can look them up on IMDB.com and it will bring up a list of the movies they have done. I hope you are able to figure it out.

She doesn't remember any details like that. Her whole scenerio sounds slightly familar to me, but I can't really think of anything that would help me think of what it is.
