There is no reason for us to discriminate the people who are disabled. In fact, there are things that they are not inept to modify their function as a normal individual. Some of their skills are enhanced through the use of assistive devices, one of this is using a wheelchair. I, myself can't do the "free wheel" maneuver. Moreover, it needs a strong determination to acquire the inevitable skills. For this, I salute them as a sign of respect for their perseverance.

LOL, so true. I've always admired those middle aged ladies in an electric wheel chair who fly along at top speed even inside the shopping mall. I know they shouldn't go so fast and there is a risk of running over someone or knocking them down but their speed and expertise always makes me smile.

I truly agreed with your sentiments for disabled. They are still gifts from God so we dont have the right to discriminate and do bad things behind their back. Disabled are very determined to cope up with their disability. So we should treat them equally as they being disabled doesnt decrease their self worth. They are still human, so we should respect and love them as how we love ourselves.

Throughout my life I've always been one of those people that feels like people that are differently abled should not be discriminated against. When I was in elementary school, there were several students at our school that were handicapped and in wheelchairs (that was in the days before the students that were differently abled were mainstreamed into normal classrooms).
Well, I was invited into a group with a girl that went to our school, Jana, that was physically disabled. She was looked down on by so many people at our school because of the fact that she couldn't walk. However, if all of my classmates would have only taken the time to get to know Jana, they would have realized that she was one of the kindest and most generous people in the world.
No one should ever judge a book by their cover, you might be missing out on having a relationship with one of the best people in the world.

Hi shavkat: I completely agree. In fact, I think that sometimes people who have a disability can do things more professionally and more perfect than someone who is completely healthy. I've seen disable people who are artists and professional and they are an example to us.

You are right, no one should discriminate against a disabiled person for any reason because the disabiled person didn't ask to be the way that they are. I'm legally deaf. I was born with a hearing problem and it just progressed as time went on. However, my senses are hightened and I can tell when someone is aggitated or scared or that something is amiss. I can also, read lips pretty well.

People will continue to discriminate people for not good reason . I hate seeing people being discriminate when they cannot help they way they are , some are even born that way . I dont know when discrimination will stop because it is so wide and people are raise differently . I try not to discriminate against anyone .

Youare absolutely right, though some disabled person lacks some part of their body, they are given talents and skills that they can be proud of. Discrimination of disable people is really bad thing. In fact, some of them are better than normal persons.

i think no one should discriminate another person at all, no matter what race or gender he or she is.. Since even some disabled people are much more talented than others.. since they strive more to do what others normally can.

The photo is very nice and inspiring. It is true that we should discriminate people who are disabled. Instead, we should actually be inspired from them. They could do things that we can't do. Happy mylotting.

Hi-
when God put you in any situation struggles in real life, financial, physically, relationship, ability, mentally, and etc.. cause God want us to learn to solve and make best of us God will put us out of nothing and in that way He could reveal to us how great He was when He could assemble all the broken piece in us. Many people suffer in physical ability no hands no feet the cant talk or hear. but they would not surrender in life to learn and move continually able to survive and enjoy the life. Rather than those people who were already they want but still they continue to complain and wasted their time to worthless Idols in life.

My little boy is five years old and he is a disabled child in a self propelling wheelchair. He has got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He can move his wheelchair himself: forwards and backwards plus he can change direction. I am sure he will learn about freewheeling when he is older. I like disabled people.

Last Tuesday when I got home i turned on the tv and saw a documentary of a disabled person in our country. He was complaining how they were being discriminated. The ramp on an overpass for example here in our country is too steep it was too difficult for them to climb up. Even those in wheelchairs who have been joining in athletic competitions couldn't even do it.
The front seat next to the driver of a passenger jeepney is supposed to be reserved for them, but they couldn't even get that seat.
It's really sad how they are being treated in my country even though we have a law here, some people are just not aware of that.

That's right, I'm exactly agree with you!
In my opinion, discriminate against people with disabilities, is an act of racism! Discriminate because different? Absolutely not, people with disabilities are godese exactly the same privileges that the company provides to us.
In Italy, you think that the term "disabled", perhaps seemed a little too much, I would say almost offensive. Now in fact here, these people are called "otherwise able".

Hi,
I saw that photo which you have added. Really that man playing with ball is very confident with his wheelchair and he is using it as his legs. My wife is suffering from muscular dystrophy and she has problem in walking and doing many things, her muscles are very weak. But she always try to live happily. She do some work with the help of her student, she prepares variety of favorite dishes for our son when he comes to meet us. she helps some students in their study. these disabled people have more determination and confidence so they can face any difficult situation in their life. Really they are very respectable persons.
