That awkward moment when you watch a movie and the scene makes you wanna cry but people are watching you. I was watching a movie in a waiting room. I didn't know it was a drama. I was about to cry in front of a lot of people so I tried my best not to by talking to my friend. Then in the next scene there is again a crying part so I got my phone and pretended to be texting. Boy, I was glad when the doctor called me for my turn. Have you been in this situation? What did you do?

i envy those some courageous women who can easily shed their tear and actually cry even in public places, i believe that crying is healthier than suppressing it, i avoid watching drama in public, i know myself well i might get out of control and cry, i'm with the idea that "boys don't cry(in public)"...

I envy them too. I myself like to act tough even though I'm a girl, how much more guys right? But seriously, I think guys who actually cry in public are quite attractive and rare for some women. It means that guy is sensitive. Girls dig sensitive.

Oh, that's quite sad. I hope you have recovered from that heart break now. By the way how did the public react with you crying?

i remember crying only once in my life in public place, i was when i was only 24, when we (me and my fiancee)finally ended up our romantic relationship, i just can't control my emotion that very moment, that is the reason why i avoid watching drama when i;m in a public places,...

I am like you, crying with the dramas I watched. A friend used to tease me: are you going to cry now? I tried not to watch drama while waiting anywhere. I prefer to listen to music on my phone...

I guess I should've just listened to music at that time. I felt like a fool all glossy eyed watching that movie. Anyway I will learn from you so next time I'll get my phone and my earphones ready.

I don't usually watch movies when I am away from my home, but I have been in other situations where I found it hard to avoid crying especially when I was reading some of the stories from Chicken food for the soul in public. Some of those stories are so touching and I find it very hard to not to cry. When I am at a public place I try my best to keep the tears away because I don't strangers to watch me when I am crying. I usually try to find something neutral to think about or if I with other people and talk to them and try to forget the touching story that I just read. If I was watching a movie I think that I would do the same thing.

So exactly true it feels weird when people stares at you cause you are making your eyes rain. Some may even think you are petty for crying over a piece of paper. I think what you do is very good method. Distraction is always the key in these scenarios.

My tears are came mostly when emotional scenes are watched. Most of the time my family members watch me and say ohhhh this is not reality why you are wasting your tears. Then stop my tears.

Well it is good that you could be very rational and be able to control your tears. I hope I can be like you. As of now I can really say that I am weak when it's about emotional things.

Hi friend, i am not very much involved with the movie and take it as sportive, but some times we don't have the ability to control our tears, if the movie is really very touching, at that time we may think about some other things to avoid crying activities, your idea is good

Well my idea was indeed good for stopping tears. I do hope I look okay while doing those diversions. I mean I hope I don't look weirder in people's eyes.

Me too, I'm really easy to tear. And in romance movies, I just get so emotional and cry myself out. I guess It's okay, people will understand. Though for your part, you we're in a waiting room instead of for example in the movie house which is more appropriate to cry with the lights turned off. I guess distracting yourself from the movie is a way to stop the crying. Good thing for you!

Well I guess it' human nature to cry or feel sad when we see other people cry (like people in the movies). But I stopped myself from crying because I'm afraid I'd look ugly when I cry. Distractions indeed stopped me from crying.

I cried my eyes out with subbing sound. I didn't care if people was watching me or laughing while I'm having the emotional breakdown especially when the movie is so moving. As long as I'm not annoying them or very loud I make sure that I release my emotions since I tend to choke if I keep it inside.

I seriously envy you as you can freely show your emotion. I am scared that others will laugh at me when I cry so I choose the people who I cry with.

When outside watching a drama, I don't feel like crying on the sad parts of it. But I do feel touched and cried when I was seriously watching a drama movie/series when I;m at home.

Same here. That's why I prefer watching dramas at home or in a dark theater where nobody could see.

Oh yes, I was onboard a bus going to our province that time (dad won't let me drive by myself long distance) and guess what's on? Hatchiko! OMG, what a tear-fest, lol! Although I know that I;m not the only one crying inside the bus, it was still awkward crying my eyes out in a public place like that.

Gosh I've watched hatchiko like four times already yet I still cry every single time. That movie is tear jerking. Very, very sad.

Funny 'cause I'm a crying diva too. Whenever there are drama movies or even an event that tells a really sad story, I would cry even there are people around me. But yes of course, I feel a bit shy after realizing I was around of many people. But in the end I still love watching or listening to drama/sad movies/event.

Well it's good that you can freely cry even with people. I can cry too but only to those people whom I know so well. Or to other crying divas too. Hehe. I think we are kindred spirits.

Well I hope people would think like you. Sometimes people tend to make a spectacle out of someone else. Like those people in the waiting room who keeps on giving me funny looks.
