The sad fact is that we are in a steep decline as an industrial nation. Too many jobs have moved south of the border and to China. There is no way American workers can compete with communist slave wages of $6-8 a day. We lost the chance to be a the leading technological nation before it ever really got to happen those jobs seemed to dry up over night and have been moved to places like India, Taiwan and China also. So what is left for the American people? Looking at the want adds there are lots of jobs under health care. Will our economy be saved by healthcare alone? Could it be saved by health care? Health care jobs are not as easy as to outsource to foreign countries as industrial or tech markets. So I have to wonder is there any real hope we will ever see a return of tech jobs or industrial jobs, and if not health care than what will we be able to come up to restore our economy? Or will we just keep dwindling down till blue color workers are making $6-8 a day also?

All false. Americans have routinely competed with "communist slave wages" for decades. In fact, in the years from 2008, our imports have declined, and our exports have increased. The idea we can't compete is just flat out totally and completely false. In fact, 1998, and 1999, were record years for imports, and most people would say we have a great economy during that time. Jobs didn't dry up over night. The current situation is the result of years of legislation driving away jobs. Minimum wage requirements, EPA environmental requirements, Pro Union Laws, hundreds of permits, environmental impact studies.... The list goes on and on, of all the things we done to force out manufacturing jobs. It's amazing we have such a good manufacturing sector that we do. There are millions of Tech and Industrial jobs. Yes we have fewer than before, but there are millions. We could get them all back, but it requires things that the public won't be willing to do. Remove Union Labor Laws. Reduce EPA requirements. Cut taxes on corporations. Eliminate the minimum wage. You do that, and manufacturing jobs will flock back to the US. Will the people do it? I doubt it. They'd rather complain than accept a solution. Looking at the want adds there are lots of jobs under health care. Will our economy be saved by healthcare alone? No. ObamaCare will artificially drive up health care jobs. But when the government is forced to cut spending, those jobs will instantly vanish. This is how government regulation and control of the economy always works. Greece has such a bloated light rail train system, that they had enough train engineers to permanently station an engineer on each trail car throughout the entire country. The costs were so high, that they could have actually saved money by hiring a private taxi for each individual passenger. This happens every time government involves itself in the economy. They spend money they don't have, which drives people into those jobs, then they run out of other peoples money, and everyone is laid off. It won't save the economy. We need to let the free-market work, and have the natural system provide jobs where they are needed.
