this season, this is the second time for AS ROMA fans for watching the revolution in the favourite team..for the second time of the revolution, our leader is Zdenek Zeman..
Last season, ROMA comes new era after USA business man, THomas Di Benedetto take the club..With several money, ROMA is active in transfer market since last season..
11 new player becomes AS ROMA player, on loan or permanent player..And AS ROMA choose new coach too, Luis Enrique (Barcelona B). the new revolution includes too the choosing of Walter Sabatini as Technic director and Franco Baldini comes back to Olimpico as General Director..
AS ROMA fans believes that AS ROMA will get the better result in 2011/2012 season..
but the season 2011/2012 is not like the prediction...Totti et all only finish in 7th and can`t play in any european competition..
Luis Enrique resign when he feels he is failed...And ROMA once again search new coach and Zdenek Zeman was appointed as new coach..
Zeman is not newbie for AS ROMA, 65 years old coach had ever trained ROMA from season 1997-1999..
AS ROMA fans remember him as the coach can give AS ROMa the best productive team in Serie A even he is failed given the trophy for AS ROMA..
Zeman is well-known as coach which attack oriented..His reputation is shining when he train Foggia in beginning of 1990..He brings Foggia promoted to Serie A from division3 in 2 season..His philosophy is well known Zemanlandia..
Before he was appointed again as AS ROMA coach, he is coach of Serie B, Pescara..Once again, he helps Pescara promotion in Serie A with status winner of Serie B and become the productive team with 90 goals in one season..
Ideas of Zeman about football is attack, attack and attack..His favourite tactics is 4-3-3..He is only interested with scoring much goal than his opponent..
Whenever we want to attack, three of our attacker must stay in penalty area and 2 from 3 of our midfielder must take forward and gives pressure for the opponent..And we have a bigger chance for scoring goal..This is not extraordinary knowledge..this is the simple mathematics way..That`s the opinion of Zeman about attack way
ROMA beside choose new coach, they make revolution in team..Several old player like Marco Casetti, David Pizarro, Fabio Simpilico, Juan, Cicinho, Leandro Greco, Aleandro Rossi, Gianluga Curci, Heinze is not AS ROMA player anymore and in this transfer market this season, AS ROMA is active and buy several players Leandro Castan, Dodo, Marquinhos, Ivan Piris and Federico Balzaretti in defender area..For forward area, No more Borini but Destro comes
Our pra season is good too..ROMa always wins in 9 friendly games and scores 43 goals..
We are not favourite like Juventus, but we can gives surprise for any team in Serie A if they underestimate us..
Maybe if we can remove our disability called incosistency, we get the better chance for winning Serie A trophy..

They do say the best form of defence is attack so I don't think there is nothing wrong with being attack minded there are to many defensive teams in serie so attacking is good

I definitely agree and it makes for better football , in the world the best teams in the world such as Brazil , Spain and barca are all attack minded and successful

Wow!! Thanks for giving a nice review of how Roma is shaping up for the new season. I was not aware that Roma has been taken over by American owners. So then you will have plenty of money for new players, but there would be a huge pressure on the coaches to deliver else they will be sacked or the pressure might force them to resign like Enrique. As far as Zeman if he brings attacking football to the club, I would think that would be great as football is really about scoring goals. :)

really??since 2 years ago, the owner of AS ROMA comes from USA, thomas benedetto..
he comes with the great and fresh ideas..
and Luis Enrique comes with the higher expectations..
but he is failed, but we respect because he is sportmanslike..
zeman comes back..
and he try to follow his philosophy..
he needs a good full back..
in his first time in ROMA, he bought Cafu as right full back and Candela as left full back..
now he try to Balzaretti as left full back and Ivan Piris (maybe) become the right full back..

I think zeman is not enough, what he did a decade ago are wonderfull. but it is not enough as roma become one of the most offensive and attractive football team at that era. But they lack in consistency. They can beat milan inter and juve but they can't do the same against middle and lower team.
If they want to bring serie A champion this year attacking football is good choice but he must do like what capello do in roma, the mentallity to win and discipline football.

of course..inconsistency is our disease..you are right..
that`s why Zeman is not only strengthening the finishing touch of his forward, but he improve too his defender quality..
he sold several old defender like Juan, Heinze..he change with the younger but experienced player like Leandro Castan, Dodo, and Federico Balzaretti (the left full back of Italy in Euro cup 2012)..
i do hope Zeman learns from his first time in AS ROMa...and he will do it...

I've known Zeman for his famous 4-3-3. Back then in 1990s, the formation hasn't been used widely as nowadays. I'd like tactics variation, hence I like the idea.
One thing I don't like about Zeman is, he's definitely a Juve hater 
He tends to speak a lot when it comes to Juve. Last famous comment from him you probably knew was when he said that 10months ground for Conte is not enough. Well, if i'm not mistaken, even Baldini (or other Roma director, i'm not sure which one), need to give confirmation that it was all pure the coach's opinion. Not reflecting the club's stands.
I just don't like when people speak badly of others, that's including if the one who speak are players, coaches, or managements from the club i support. Just prove it on the field, guys...
About new Roma players, I only know Balzaretti name. I see that he played well in the last Euro 2012. I think it was a good addition for Roma.
Well, let's see if Roma could give a good fight this season.
