Online works makes me anti social . I love more to be with my Computer , i sometimes couldn't notice the time since i am always busy doing all kinds of work here , writing , reading , blogging , researching ,sometimes chatting too with my special friend. I have no or less time in interacting with other people around me . I don't go out anymore for parties or for some recreational activities aside from my jogging routine. How about you Lotters , how do you find online works ?

Time passes by unnoticed by me too, the4 answer is to put a clock on your desk, preferably an alarm one. Of course you still need some discipline but it reminds you. Sitting still for too long is bad for your body as well as your social life.

i agree, time really flies by when using the computer. The fact is because i was a gamer, i really didn't really know time when playing games, especially online games. 6 hours in front of the computer was really a normal playing time for back in the days :D but now i only use the computer 2-3 hours tops.

hmmm... actually, not. you have 24 hour per day in your life. if you said you work, i don't think so, because it's about hobby. so use your work hour with effective, and you can socialize with people in real life. it just depend on you.

is it your personal experience henki?? i think 24 hours is not enough with our duty and task if you want to know.. but if we waste our time, 24 hours is really long time and we can be easily boring..

Sometimes I do find myself a little bit anti-social because of the invention of the internet. I think I'd rather just stay home and do some stuff online rather than meeting up people for coffee or something like that. I know some of my buddies are angry with me these days because I have always declined most of the invitations for coffee or a night out because I'd rather be home. Well, I have always been like this, I don't really like going out at night. But I think the internet has made me crawl back to my cave more often. But hey, this is better compared to going out spending money, right? But yeah, don't get me wrong, I don't ALWAYS prefer the internet. I think it depends on the time, I don't like going out at night but I always am okay when the invitation is during the days or daytime. I guess the invites are just at the wrong time ehehe.. I really don't like going out at night. Period. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

That is a better disposition , not to go out at night ! Having this kind of people around , valueless , characterless how can you be safe ? Best option don't go out , and be productive do online works like Myotting . I learnt being in internet is already a form of socialization . You come to interact with some friends here , agree and argue , share opinion and ideas. You can smile here !

Hi there Angelpink, Same as you are, I have noticed that as well. Since my time was too occupied by my online gigs. As a consequence, there are times that I can't afford to go out to have a social life with other friends. Especially now that I have set my target earnings, I am doing double time in my online tasks.

Yes , that's true , earnings here is not that lucrative , making this a side line would be the best thing , you're earning , same time learning , interacting people globally and you learn to share. Great idea Stringer .

Online works is addicting. Although i'm a stay at home mom but it was only lately that i was addicted to internet activity. this helps me while away the time while alone in our house and waiting for my children to be home. i'm not fond of hanging around with neighbors and doing online activities healed me of boredom that i usuall felt then when i'm alone at home.

sometimes however i experience mild headache and dizziness when exposed to computer for longer hours hence, i am forced to limit my online activities lately. Despite this it has become a habit to peek at mylot daily to scan what is the latest.

Mylot is a good company , sometimes we don't need other people to be with us , Mylot is enough but sometimes enough can be too much for all hours of the day we are with Mylot ! Sometimes so hard to get away from it because we enjoyed it very much and if we are enjoying things , then there is no way for us to look or to be in other activity , that is why it is being said as addicted but not a bad addiction after all , right friend !

Hi there! It is said - "excess of everything is bad". So if you feel that you are overdoing anything i.e. spending more time on your PC, you need to restrict it. Social interaction is very necessary and isolation from friends or relatives etc. may land you in trouble in future. You need to spend time with them also. All the best.

Hello there Dpk , yes i agree anything of excess is dangerous , need to regulate ourselves also but sometimes hard especially if the spirit is just too strong such as as Mylot . You have so many in your mind , and you want to pour it sown before it would be forgotten , and sometimes feeling so full of energy so you are so inspired to do Mylotting . I'll take note in that , true sometimes i got no time to mingle and communicate to people around , because i enjoyed so much here and don't like to break the momentum. Have a great Sunday !

I agree and disagree with you. If you would allow your work consume you so much even though you don't work online you'll be anti-social. being social is a choice. There are people who basically enjoys hiding their persona in the internet and there are those who are flaunting themselves no matter what peopel say. Being social you don't have to care what the society says or how they judge you. Though I also work most of the time with my computer I make sure to meet my family and friends. I have a dat enight with my husband every Saturday and night out with friends on Fridays or days when all of us are all free. My family are always around so I usually stop what I'm doing with my computer and attend to them. Physical contact or interaction is more meaningful for me.

Learnt something from you , being social is a choice but same thing also as saying being anti social is a choice. I can tell you have a full control of your life and you were able to balance it well! Very admirable attribute ! Though i am not so much interacting with other people because of time constraints , i make sure also that i have a time for even for a short or coffee break with some important people in my life.

Online jobs are very fun and addicting especially when it gives us flexibility that we can arrange our home tasks as we like, but not for those who are always feel bored at home without seeing their friends, when working online, the most rewarding thing is it is flexible and getting the money every week depends where you live, the opportunity differs to those who lives outside US, but there are many online jobs for us, the problem is if we rely on the online full time, can we pay our internet bills, if one manage to survive then he or she should appreciate the way it is. I guess you are making ample a month, but just feeling isolated, don't worry online friends still the same, arrange your time properly when its time to go out, then go out for a while to refresh your mind, come back and continue your work. I always do that when working online.

Yes i maybe so addicted here but i am seeing to it also that every week i go out for a jogging of 10 rounds then go malling and watching people while dining and strolling out . No need to talk sometimes , a smile is enough to be given to some familiar faces.

i have been experiencing it for a lot of time and i feel these things have made me totally anti social since i cant concentrate on outside work and cant spend more time for recreational activities.most of the time its like getting glued and stress factor becomes more.the fact of the matter is quite inevitable,we cant avoid it at times and i find it really pissed off since most of the work gets delayed and its not fine at all. So i think we must prepare a schedule in such a way that we must spend time equally based on itinerary and then we can split up work with ease. Then we can experience and get the best of both the worlds.so always try to focus more on fun and enjoyful activities all the way.other wise we will really move down in terms of health factor

True Natlie ! The important thing is we should know what is the top priority task , make schedule then follow it but sometimes the spirit was just too strong that without noticing it , we find ourselves already in the discussion . It is a very worthy activity which made us skipped some other important stuff . Addicting but generating !!

That's quite true, when you spend a considerable amount of time on the Internet doing all kinds of stuffs. However, I still think the most important friends you should have are those real-world ones that live around you. The way you guys communicate is the intuitive way human beings communicate and therefore I only expect to have bosom friends in my real-life social circle.

Some people that live around us are not all real . Some makes and breaks us , we are blessed if those around are all good and reliable people . These are the people worth keeping. Yes i agree it is also important to talk to our friends once in awhile !

This is actually true.I also experienced this when I started mylotting. Usually, I spend my day talking to my friends or chatting with them on skype. But now I hardly go online in skype. Instead, i go mylotting to earn some extra cash. It did make me a bit anti-social.

I have same experienced also , when Mylotting came to my system , all other social sites to communicate are left , except that one for my special one whom for life it would be there. Others, said and corrected me , that Mylotting doesn't make us anti social but instead it makes us more sociable because we come across to different personalities of the world.

same with me here, since i started working online, I found myself less using social networking sites like FB and twitter. BUt that's fine with me working online is cool for me as a mom, I can work in my home office, can spend more time with the kids and so on. It's fine with me there's advantages and disadvantages.

Yes , Mylot addiction is too far more better than other social networking site. We earn in here so long as we are that active , compared to other social sites that we earn nothing but sometimes a fight only .

You are correct there friend, that you are already putting some line where you are socializing, yet still you are still socializing in the internet because it does not mean that socializing is always in the limelight of the outside world.Internet is still socializing, but with your own words against the words of other people,so what is the difference there of socializing outside your house. The only difference here is that you are not finding your other friends in the streets anymore, but you still meet people not just the real people but in the pictures in the internet. You are still sociable friend just like what we do as of this moment exchanging discussions. Is not it?

There must be some balance between online and offline activities. I do online work, but keep in touch with my associates, friends and relatives regularly! This makes me more smart to promote and workout my online programs! I never work between 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm. In rest of the hours, I only work maximum up to 5 hours per day in total. I believe, "Inch by inch, everything becomes a clinch... Yard by yard everything becomes too hard!!" Hope you may agree with this and plan yourself accordingly!! Thanks for this nice topic and have a nice day!!

Yes before when we want to talk with someone else we need to meet them on some places or at least call them. But now, chat is the trending way in communicating with others. Anti-social in a way that we spend more time with our computer not like before that we spend most of our time we spend being with our friends. But I really think that online has also made new ways in socializing with other people.

Yes being on hooked in the internet , does not makes you anti social. It is the advance tech. of communicating . Lucky this generation ,we don't need to go out but just stay at home and just don't socialize here but also having bonding with the family.

I was practically like a hermit two years ago. It was the time that I quit my job and decided to teach online. My whole day and evening were occupied with online classes and it was also the same time I discovered mylot. I got so hooked up with that life that for a year, i haven't met any of my friends. Good thing we stumbled upon each other somewhere again and they invited me out. Now i'm meeting them once or twice a month to party or during special occasions like birthdays.
