This is a wonderful heart fetched movie, and one I think everyone needs to see at least once. The real story behind this movie is heart felt and touching, and will make you cry. Now even thinking about this movie makes me want to go and watch it, but not sure it is one I own.

Yes, it's really a touching movie. When I watched it, I was so moved and I cried. I also would fight for my child if someone will take him away from me. Maybe the one you got is the right one. It's a movie with Sean Penn, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dakota Fanning,
Dianne Wiest, etc. It's a 2001 movie. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Oh, hi Angelpink. This movie is more than a decade ago. The lead character has a mental capacity of a 7-year old child. He has a daughter with a homeless woman who abandoned them as soon as they left the hospital so he raises his own daughter alone. Problems arise when she reaches 7. Her dad's limitations start to become a problem at school. She's intentionally holding back to avoid looking smarter than her father. As a result, authorities take her away. They think that he couldn't raise her because he's mentally retarded. If you haven't watched this drama movie yet, try watching it. It's worth watching. Happy myLotting.
