Corruption is like a disease , a cancer . Would you agree if i will say that this disease can never be cured ? Do you think it is a hopeless case ? To some countries corruption is like a culture already. People use to live with it , adapt it and be comfortable with it. Tell me something on what is corruption for you my friends here in Lotters.

Corruption is not a disease, it is mainly driven by personal greed. People don't use to live with it, it is only used by politicians and public employees in high position within government institutions. If corruption is a disease like you think, then it will not be such a big problem for any nation after all, it can be cured and treated. It is more like culture or traditional type of thing for certain country's political elites; corruption among government officials seem to be the most 'normal' path should be taken by them to reach super rich and extreme wealthy stage inside their own country. Now you know what 's this about .....

I didn't mean here a literal interpretation of a cancer in society as really a disease , a kind of disease ,this you referring to ? I am in medical practice and i know what is a disease , a cancer . Are you getting what i mean ? I know what is a political culture , i am there enjoying that particular culture.

Yeah Corruption is a desease and now a days people make this to habit, it is a very big drawback to the developing of that country, all it is because of selfish, people are looking for their own works only they are thinking about country because their work is important for them, if we want to change our country to corruption less then it should start from people if they won't give bribe who will ask bribe.

Curruption is a main problem in some counties because the money is counting more than the people, their life and the truth for some people of the government. But curruption can be stopped if people and organisations are working together and if people of the government are not accepting curroptions, means that they are looking more on the people of their country than on the money.

You are so right Vijayroy , if we want corruption to cease then let us start it within ourselves , true lets us not bribe nor be bribe , means let us honesty start with in ourselves. But i guess corruption is not mere disease , it is already a cancer , means less or very slim chance for it to be cured , nothing we can do much so it wil be healed totally but only not to aggravate the cancer more by doing the above which i mentioned earlier.

Andi , from my own point of view , corruption will never be stopped . It like already a culture to some countries or tribes . Many leaders and government officials wishes to stop it , they maybe have done some ways but i am so sure it won't work. Corruption has been handed from generation to generation. this is the worst value being handed to different generations. I guess best ways like i said is by starting maybe in our own home or family , even in this institution corruption started , when Da gives the finances to mom , when kids ask for payment in school activities , mark ups will be done.. See even corruption starts at home.. Lets clean first our home then that's the time to clean our govern ment maybe..

I hope if we can't cure it, we can prevent it. We should be careful in voting for the right officials. They should be honest and value integrity. Happy myLotting.

Corruption is like a disease. An incurable disease. And it starts at the top. When the leader of a country or a business or any organization is corrupt it stands to follow that under him will be more corrupt individuals. And they, in turn will bring in corrupt individuals under them. Corruption breeds corruption, just as cancer cells breed more cancer cells, and it grows. Like certain types of cancer, there is a cure for corruption but will never be implemented. Unlike the curable cancers the cure for corruption would be costly. Before a solution to a problem of this magnitude comes about there is always much trouble. Sometimes to get to the root of a disease one must cut through healthy tissue and it the may be destroyed in the process. I believe there will always be corruption. It is not new. It's not a product of the 20th century. I know I paint a dismal picture, but I believe it to be true.

Yes, we don't have to be corrupt and we teach our children to be honest. Our circle of friends & family may not be corrupt. But it still affects our lives in the politics of our countries, although possibly not that much to interfere with our daily lives. But we know it's there. And I believe it always will be, to some extent. Thanks for commenting! Have a great day.

So very impressive ideas ! 200 % agreeing with you ! I don't know why others don't see the way we are seeing things. Maybe their country is not as corrupt as ours , they didnt know how corruptions really works. We are one of the recipient of this corruptions , so we can really know how it works in our system. No way out for this corruption to be healed . It is been handed from one generation to the other . Yes it is not new , when i came to this world it is already been like that and that until to this date. Question is can we do something about this ? yes in our own little ways we can and let us start it with in our own family.

Corruption is a disease that is incurable or if it can be cured, I guess it will take a very long span of time to do it. But I doubt if it can really be stopped especially in my country. We have a very honest president now but some government agencies are still engaging in corruption. It is very sad and frustrating. I hope that during his tenure corruption will be limited if not totally eliminated.

Yes as long as there is this thin thread of hope it is wrong to give up. Yes , corruption would just be modified but can never be eliminated thats for sure , but with a good and honest leader am sure we can achieve that less corruption goal.

Those who are fueled by greed are often the ones who are corrupted. When people are fueled by greed, their judgement is clouded with deep desires of luxury, power, and social status. Corrupted, high-ranking, officials in businesses, politics, and government often abuse their authority to gain favor for themselves. Some might even believe they lack a conscience or moral values. While everyone has the capacity to be greedy, some people are just more greedy than others. Unfortunately, corruption can often lead to poverty, oppression, and hopelessness for the inhabitants of an area. Corruption is like acid; it takes away everything until nothing is left. The cycle of corruption will continue as long as there are greedy people willing to do anything to achieve their goals.

Wow..you said it all ! No need to elaborate ! I don't know if people today still having that thing "conscience " ? So many are corrupt , like most are ! No good leader to have because same he is corrupt , so do with his subordinates , doing corruption. Actually , from smallest ranking officials to the top most are practicing this thing. We may admit it or not , that is really what is happening around. Yes values are deteriorating , So sad to know this but this is the reality. The root cause of this its because of our ego , we want to be famous , we want to be in power , and we want to be rich , in easiest ways. Putting aside what is righteous and Godly , adhering to what is the fad .These thoughts must be put to an end , but how to do this ? Maybe we will start it in our own selves. Discipline , think of what you can do for others , think of others always, and be honest . Practice honesty , show this to little generation , Be a good example .

I strongly agree with what you say. Corruption is a disease that is difficult, and in fact can not be cured. Although the penalties for those who engage in corruption, it is very clear. But the perpetrators of corruption, no fear. They are blinded by money.
