Do you write personal or business diaries?

I remember I used to have a notebook specifically for all the new lessons I learn in my life. That way, I am able to learn something and remember them by simply reading my notebook again. I use it when I have new ideas on how I could improve my life or any ideas that comes up. I don't have that anymore but now I use some notebooks for the purpose of writing my online or offline business ideas that comes up and I put the date in it. That way, I am able to monitor my financial plans and the businesses I plan to try out. When I look and check that notebook, it is easier for me to pick which idea seems attractive to me. It helps me a lot on my planning. How about you, do you have any personal or business diaries? How do you think it helps you in anything?

I do not have a very much regular habit of writing diaries neither for my personal nor professional issues. But at times I do feel to write and I do to gain ultimate satisfaction. I know how a good friend a pen and a paper can be of yours. You can share your every secret with them and you really feel relieved.

I would agree. There is something different when you are able to place your ideas and thoughts in a piece of paper. The ideas and memories becomes more easily accessible and remembered, and it helps you in managing your life and even your thoughts better. And yes, there is some sort of release you feel when you write you hearts out.

I would say it's a grave crime to steal someone's diary...

I used to write personal diaries when I was younger but these days I am hooked with too much things to accomplish in a day that I just try to accomplish my priorities. Same here, I also use a notebook, I like pink. When I was younger, during my birthdays I recieve more notebooks to write on. Since I don't write any diaries anymore, I still have a to do list at least 10 priorities of teh day professionally, but I just use my sticky notes in my laptop to help lessen the use of paper. Now, you reminded of my notes. I am sure I'll have lots of ideas too if I scan it again but too bad it's back home, safely kept for my return.

Wow, pink color! I wonder why most women love pink and when men try to wear pink or choose pink with their cars, it could cause rumors about that person's masculinity, or the lack of it. lol. You seem like a very busy lady, and I have a feeling most Chinese people are basically hardworking. Well, the Chinese people in my country have a lot of businesses :) I'm glad I was able to remind you of something that could be helpful, or at least amusing to do.

I believe that is one rule about diaries...they are meant to be treated as 'sacred' that no one, not even one's husband or wife, is allowed to take hold of it without our permission. So I'm thinking now of those who have the urge to read their loved one's diaries and get angry doing so with the 'secrets' they have discovered. In my opinion, they have violated the person's most personal dignity...the right to privacy, quoting our ex first gentleman ( our ex female-president's husband ) used to say after doing something wrong...lol

i have a notebook to write about what the future will be like what i'm gonna do next for tomorrow and next week. it's like a list of task. then i also have a notebook about my past. i wrote everything that happened that day. it helps me remember on how i spent the day and my money. i can keep them on track. i also write on another notebook about the persons i love to be with and the persons that hurt me most in a certain event. sometimes, i would write my own love story on how its going to be but it never came.anyways, i did write on how i would love to die in a certain manner. it's funny because i love writing these thoughts than typing it in my laptop neither my phone. when i feel sad or happy, i also write them down. it helps me to calm down and think.

You seem to have a rich experience in life that you have a lot to write about :) I think writing is a kind of therapy as well as you are able to vent out your feelings with the energy coming out of your fingers. I guess you feel better after writing, am I right? Anyway, in the love area don't give up hope! I haven't given up hope and I'm in my midlife...lol :) Anyway, the fact that you said that it helps you calm down makes my concept of a 'therapy' to be correct.

Sorry to hear about that, nupur. Being single, I wonder now if it would be a good idea to still maintain a personal diary when my wife may also get offended that I could share it with her instead. Well, if ever I get married soon I think I would still continue but will make it an open book only with my wife :)

It is not so good to write a diary.Because sometimes it may cause some problems in our life. So I never used to write a diary. Is writing a diary really good?

I guess the answer to that would be dependent on different circumstances. I guess if the people around you are supportive and caring, then I guess there would be no problem whatsoever with having a diary to write. I guess, it would be a problem with people who have difficult relationships and having found out our personal diary could result in arguments and fights.

I keep a diary of day to day events and appointments . I write down gardening events like when I fed certain plants, when I planted them and so on. I write down the weather or lack of it in the case of rain and the effects this has on my garden. I write down when I pay my bills or rather, when I phone a company with a query about my bill. I include tha time of day and the person I spoke to. I also like to keep track of phone calls, likwe who called me when...it doesn't happen very often. LOL. All these things help me to remember when I did certain things so I'm not repeating myself unnecessarily.

Yes, I keep personal diaries, and I also keep business journals, writing down things that I need to do. I have so many notebooks and planners, it is not even funny. I think that I am addicted to buying notebooks and things like that. I write constantly. I have small notebooks in my car so if I think of anything that I want to write down while I am out and about, I have the paper available to do so. I seriously have about 10 planners, and about 40 (probably more) notebooks. I need to organize them though because I have writing material all OVER the place.

I think there is nothing wrong with that and I even find it very helpful. I still have different notebooks for different purposes. ONe note book is for my business and financial goals, other are for learning new language, notebook with some infos about my sports and hobbies, personal stuffs and for any ideas that comes into my mind. Anyway, with 40 notebooks I guess you also help the bookstores earn good money :D

I used to write in my personal journal. It helps me to vent out my sentiments in life.

Well, to be honest I haven't done my personal journal for a long time now but I do my business journal daily still. This is a good reminder that it's still important ( or probably even more important ) to focus on our life experiences and what we needed to learn from them.

Hi, I wrote personal diaries when I was a student. But now I seldom keep a personal diary of my own. I only wrote diaries for my daughter, because she is too young to write her own diaries, and I want to keep some memories of her childhood. I do write down some recipes on a notebook, especially some recipes about baking, it's not easy to remember all the ingredients. And I also write down some passwords about my bank account or some websites I logged in, in case I forget . Happy every day!

That's very nice of you to write diaries for your daughter. I'm sure as she grows older, she would highly appreciate the time and effort you spend writing her diary and she remembers her childhood more vividly with lots of good memories to cherish. Concerning any passwords, in my case I save them in my emails where it would not be accessible to anyone.

It helps keep memories I think, both good and bad ones. I have a daybook also in which I write what happens to me on daily basis. I think its a good idea for every one to do this, it helps improve writing too I guess. Happy posting. . .

I have a feeling women are more into this, as they write their personal diaries with great care but I don't find anything wrong with men doing it themselves, and I myself am able to write down lessons I learn and insights that is good to remember. Then I find that I learn faster in life when everything is written down, like it's easier to point out what could be done, where we could improve and how we could think about certain situations and experiences...having the right attitude towards them.

Well,i do not keep a diary for the learnings and things like you do my friend. But then i do keep a personal diary.I cannot say its business diary as most of the things i write in same is about how my day was and my thoughts and feelings of the day.Well,i have been writing diary for past 19 years. It has been a great journey so far.I always buy diaries with A4 size and having a big page for all days.It helps for writing all the major and minor things of the day. There are many times, still i find that i do not have much pages to write about the day's happenings.I need to write to short then.I also love reading my old diaries.I do get sometimes inspiration from achievements and moments from past, it at times helps in present. Also from memory perspective, i can turn back pages and remember the day ina flyer.Writing diary also helps in improving handwriting. It has become a rare thing to write with the laptops and computers more these days. And well,i am enjoying my world with my diary.Besides, i see the diary as my best friend.I can share anything and everything with it without much fear. And best of all feel great about the same.Well, good to hear your thoughts on the diaries. Thanks!
