We spend most of our life at Work!

It is true that most of our waking life is spent at work - for those of us who work full time! So I think it is important to have a job that you at least find enjoyable on some level. I have had some pretty interesting jobs. For instance I ran a baseball pitching net on a U.S. aircraft carrier. I have been a tree lopper and most recently I finished a degree in Prosthetics and was working at a rehab hospital in the field of Prosthetics. I am interested in what the most interesting jobs people have had or would like to have, or if you even think it is important to have an interesting job!

I have had some jobs that I found very interesting and I have had some jobs where I worked because I needed the money. I am very interested in working with people and the I especially liked the jobs that where I worked in homes for people with special needs. I found it challenging in work in a home with people who for the deaf and blind and but I also found it very interesting. I worked in an international kindergarten for a while and I found it is interesting to work with children who were bilingual. I worked in home health care for a while and I enjoyed that, too because everyday was different and I visited new patients every day. I think it is important to have an interesting job, but I would also take a less interesting job if I couldn't find a job that where I work with people.

I think it would be nice to have a job where you are out on the road visiting and helping people in their houses. Like you said, every day would be different and just being in a different place breaks up the monotony of your average day and makes the time pass so much quicker. But you are also right when you say that sometimes you have to do a job even if it is boring because we simply need the work and have to pay the bills. It is selfish not to work if you have the chance to as so many people in the world would love to have a job but have no access to work.

My husband spends alot of time at work becasehis load is so heavy, he has so much to do... but it is life in order to live, people needs to work... no feebies in this wolrd

Hi,
It is very interesting that you are doing variety of jobs. I think you are very active and enthusiastic person. We have to spend most of our life time on our job. For fulfilling our basic needs we need money and for money we have to spend time on work. But we should not forget our family while doing job.

We spend a minimum of 8 hours in our day jobs. Just imagine if we have the kind of work that we hate. Every waking hour will be pure torture. I may have one of the most boring jobs being always at the office with spreadsheets and all. But it is up to us to make it enjoyable and exciting. It is after all my bread and butter and it will be for quite some time.

Hi friend, you are right, we spend half of our living time with our jobs, good to hear about your various jobs. We must give our full concentration in our work to get success in it
