Why, now that I'm on vacation in the country, I will sleep very soon?

Dear friends Mylotters. For two days I am on vacation in the country (see discussion written by me yesterday) in the company of my dear friend Angelo. Despite practically spend all my days doing very little, I would say almost nothing tiring, in the evening, already at around 9.00 PM I already go to bed. Very strange this, bearing in mind that when I'm at home, I hardly fall asleep before midnight. I still have to add that, every afternoon, after lunch, I take my usual nap for about two hours. Perhaps it is the famous saying (at least in Italy): "The less you do, the less you would do." I, perhaps the only rational explanation I can give to this, is that in the evening, I have a big dinner. Maybe with my stomach too full, in the process of digestion, it makes me literally collapse.

Hi, When we have vacation we are in the relaxed mood and taking rest all the time. No exercise for the body so we don't feel hungry. You took heavy dinner. You should take care of your stomach.

Well, in fact, as I have pinned in my discussion, I think maybe it's the fault of a too abundant dinner, followed by a process of digestion that makes me sleep very soon. But when I'm at home, that is, not on holiday, this is not happening to me.

Well, fortunately I have absolutely no problems in falling asleep. In fact, sometimes I'm realizing too many hours of sleep during the day (considering the usual nap that I take every day after lunch). Today I have not to work unfortunately, I'm unemployed. But one day I had to respect the commitments I have to change my cycle of sleep / wake .

Hello alberello. I´m a stay at home mom since ever. I have three kids and I cann´t go to bed early. My nerves don´t let me be at bed earlier than 11 pm, even if I´m feeling tired. Or even if I´m willing to be at bed soon. If children are awake I`m begging them to go to sleep. If children are already asleep I just want to profit of those valuable minutes of peace at home. Where job is finished and the silence is gold. I love to read, or study music, I love to sew too. So I prefer to be awake til night, I use to go to sleep near 12 am. And I wake up again at 5.15 am. And when I was younger and single, I asked God for three more hours, I wanted the day to have 27 hours. I think I´d like to profit each minute in peace and alone, because it is the best time to invest on me.

Could be the food indeed. The feeling of fullness do really make us tired and sleepy. Just be careful and wait till the food is fully digest before going to sleep or it could be deadly.

Well, since I, after eating, look about two hours before going to bed. Despite the fatigue is heard as soon as I've finished my dinner, I want to resist a little staying awake, and maybe in front of the pc, so to pass the time required for digestion.
