It's been several days already since we have been experiencing this power interruptions in this place. For the whole day, there is no electricity in the place. Good thing the Local government unit has its own generator set. When we came home at 5pm, there is no electricity yet in our boarding house and we have to wait till 11pm before the power would resume. It's really hard because we have to cook on a charcoal stove which would take a long time. How about you my friends, do you have an experience of black out that lasts for several days?

That's very inconvenient. We are so used to using electricity for so many years, and a day of no power just sucks big time. Good thing, we don't have much around here, because our place is pretty close to the main power source in the island. We only have power interruptions when there are necessary fixings on the power lines.

And the worst thing is, because we are temporary in this place, we have all our things run by electricity. Electric stove, electric water heater and rice cooker. I hope problem regarding this thing will be solved as soon as possible because there are still a lot of reports which we had to finish before we couldgo home. Thanks for sharing your opinion jureathome!

Hi friend, We usually don`t experience power interruptions where I live, but my city had no power for over 3 days after the latest big earthquake, in February 27, 2010. The worst was the food I had in the freezer I had to clean up later and throw away all fish and seafood. THe rest were ok, but I didn`t dare eat anything from the sea. I have a gas stove. I do have many electric gadgets in the kitchen, but I can do with the stove and some pots.

It is really difficult if there is no electricicy. It happaened because the transformer was damaged and need to be replaced. Until now they can not find a replcement yet.

We have had situations like this before. Awhile back now I believe 2003 we had the big blackout and went a few days without power. Its hard to adjust as we are so use to having the power. Imagine if it were in the middle of the winter.

In our country, where we are always been a target of typhoons, we really experience this power interruptions. But at present, there is no calamity and yet the power supply is still a problem. Well, I just hope that evrything will be okay in the days to come.

power interruptions is normal here in our place, it will take 1 second then it will resume, bad for me when I still don't have a back-up battery for my pc :(, then sometimes it will take 1 whole day. We are in a province, so expect power outage when there's a strong typhoon or continuous heavy rains. We even experienced not having electricity for a month in 2004 because a strong typhoon destroyed almost all electricity posts in the mountains. For me, I will be totally pissed off if this happens again even for 1-2 days, because I am working online. And I don't have a generator at home :)

If power goes out here it's usually during the summer when it gets so hot that too many people are using their air conditioners and other appliances. But it doesn't stay off that long. Last year, during winter we had a nasty storm. It didn't affect my community but a friend of mine lived in a town where electricity was off for a week. It was pretty hard but they got through it.

I think there may be some major power failure or power related maintenance happening around and hope it will resume shortly. Here in our area, the power shortage is more in recent years. As I live away form city for 60 kms. we got power cuts for 2+2 hras a day, ie 2 hrs. in the morning form 11 to 1 pm and from evening 4 to 6. As we got less rains this years it got increased to 3+3 and it is really horrible. Anyway, there is rains for last 2-3 days and which may cause improve the water levels in the dam and which will result in less power cuts. But the people in the city areas neve face the power problems and we have 24 hrs. electricity supply.

Every weekend whenever I go home to my parents' house, there's always power interruption. Good thing though, that we have our very own gen set, so it really doesn't bother me much except for the fact that we won't be able to use the air conditioner.
