Shopping was more fun when i was a student

Although now i got the money to buy all the things i want, no need to depend on others, but still i think, shopping was more fun when i was a student, during my school and college days.
i had little money, which i got as pocket money from my parents, and wanted to buy so many things. So less money, but so much to buy, couldn't decide what to buy and what not to. Also it was much fun, going out for shopping with your friends.
but now, although i have more than enough money to buy what i want, the excitement and fun i enjoyed before is not there.
Do you feel the same?

I had more fun shopping when I was a student then I do now. In my further education days I had five pounds a week pocket money. When I was at university I had a student loan. I bought some porcelain dolls with some of my money, bought books for my studies, food to eat and paid for travel expenses.

I think the reason you're no longer as excited is because you've experienced it before, it's nothing new to you. It's how people are when they're young, we want to see it all, do it all and experience it all first hand. Now you've already done all that so the fire has started fade but that doesn't mean you can't find ways to excite yourself again cause there is nothing more exciting than trying something new for the first time.

I like shopping and I enjoy it more that I can actually get what I want not having to ask anyone for money . I am still in college but I do work, some people enjoy striving for something . Your life need challenge that's what I think you want .
Use your money to buy stuff for me and that will bring your excitement back

I don't feel the same.
I enjoyed much shopping that I am earning for myself.
I also enjoyed shopping for my loved ones and most of the times I buy thing less for me and more for my family.

Yes as we use to go along with my friend for shopping . We use to bargain a lot as at that time we don't have much cash to shop.
Not only this we use to see a lot if products then only we buy them.
It was lot of fun as we use to enjoy a lot .
But now i quickly do all my shopping without wasting any time.

Yes I do, I realized that it was easier to buy material things when I was a student. Right now, I have to make my own money before I can buy expensive things. It's quite awkward to ask money from parents since I am expected to be responsible for whatever I'm going to purchase at my age.

Hi sbrn11, when i was student i love shopping and it really cost me a lot because i always want to have something new every month. I admit that I really enjoy shopping when I was student but now that I am married and had my own savings, for me it is more exciting and fun if i go shopping with my husband now that before. Not because my husband paying and carrying all those bags, shoes and clothes that we shop but being around with him brought extra joy and fun.
