Cooking/Holidays/Friends

I know this is a Holiday weekend here in the U.S.A. and a lot of people like to cook out or even in and once again it is Sunday. Tomorrow is the Holiday and while some people like to cook today not me it just seems to me it would be more of a Holiday on the day of it and my friend wanted to come over to my house with the kids today and cook and I told her once again me and my husband like to be alone on Sunday's and it is not the day for cooking for us we did this last year on this day but even though he is off work tomorrow he still like the Sunday's for us. And I think she got a little mad but I don't really care because I have told her several times that this is our day alone. Would you fell bad if this happened to you? I really don't fell bad about it because there will be more days for her and the kids to come over. And it is not like they are not here almost every weekend anyway.

Well, Sunday is always Sunday!
Yes, I understand perfectly, Sunday is the day we should all devote our families, in the sense of being a little more together, etc..
Also I still do not have a job, and therefore be able to stay at home every day, Sunday for me, has something special. That something I'm missing if I'm not with my family.
Usually we use our Sundays I go out, my mother and my brother to go for a ride in the car. This whereas my father prefers to follow in society, the football match of our favorite team.
And you're happy with how you spend your Sunday?

I agree Sunday's are for family time always to me. Weended up being alone and had a nice quiet Sunday, I am working from home now but it does get boring sometimes to me. It sounds like you have nice Sunday's with your family and that is nice to hear.

I don't blame you sometimes you just need a day with out going anywhere or catering to others. I'm waiting for my in-laws to call and ask us over. I personally don't want to go it's the kids last day off (thank goodness!) before school starts and my husband is working today. I need to make sure things are all set for school tomorrow.

I hope your kids enjoy going back to School, I know it is hard to catering to others family is fine for me but when it comes to friends inviting their selves over I get kind of mad because you should ask me first even when I told her that is our alone day sorry can't help you she got kind of mad but I could careless! Me and my husband had a good day Sunday just being alone!

You have told that several times about a friend who imposes on you. Is that her? Does she ever invite you to her house? I feel that you have told us that she just comes as if she owned your house. If that is the case, it´s time for you to tell her to stop. Don´t feel bad about it and tell her that she can come when you invite her.

Yes that is her and she has asked me to come to her apartment but I rarely go there, she just gets annoying sometimes.
This reminds me of a movie that acted by Julia Roberts,i mean that the relationships among these three is so great and these things are just so romantic to take when we have free time. Just enjoy your holiday and get freedom along with you.@jahernandezrivas (11288)

We did enjoy the Holiday alone he he I turned off my phone and got to spend time alone with husband it was really nice!

Your friend needs to respect your privacy. She shouldn't be insisting to come over. After all her presence is not welcome. :D
Right, you need not to feel bad. It's your choice and it's your right to choose.
We need to set things right always by being firm with our decisions so that people would know it. Being afraid to speak up because of hurting other people's emotion is not right!

I have told her so many times and she knows that she is hard to deal with at times and we ended up being alone all day Sunday it was great!
