It always makes my heart warm to see people who are so selfless and truly care for other people. One time when I was at the Emergency Room with my other half waiting to see a doctor, I observed an elderly lady who told a young woman with a crying infant to take her spot in line. This woman with the crying baby would've been waiting a good 3-4 hours to get in with a wailing baby and this lady made it possible for her to see the doctor within an hour. You could tell this lady was so shocked by the kindness and gladly accepted the offer due to the condition of her child. Have you ever seen such a thing? What are your thoughts.

Awwww, I wish the news was more about stuff like that! I think we need a happy news station instead of all the murders and killings and shootings, etc. Just one would be nice. That is the sweetest story I've heard in a long time. Bless that little lady for what she did. It gives you a bit of hope for the human race lately.

I think you might have an idea there! A news channel with positive news for the world to see, I think there would be a lot of keen viewers!

I do too and I sure would like to go to bed with a smile on my face instead of this ! No wonder so many people have nightmares.

Good point. The things we see or hear on the news everyday is explanation for all the nightmares.

though some say that chivalry is now a thing of the past yet there are still people who would sacrifice for the welfare of a fellow. Most of these were witnessed during the last "habagat flood" here in our country a month ago where some people risk their lives to save people in distress/danger that they don't personally know and, they are private citizens not connected to any government agency or charitable institution.

that's awesome and seems to be the right thing to do!! It is just too bad that there are not enough people like this in the world. In fact, just one day last week I was riding the public bus when a man got on the bus. It was obvious that this man was mentally (and maybe a little physically slow). He had to stand and hold on to the bar because there were no seats available for him. Now, mind you, there are handicap seats at the front of the bus, and people are suppose to leave those seats if someone in need of them gets on the bus but unfortunately none of those people gave up their seat. I watched this man stumble to the side as the bus took off. When it came to a stop again, he about fell over, I could tell he was really struggling to hold on to the bar, therefore I instantly stood and walked up to him and insisted on him taking my seat a couple of rows back. He was very very appreciative. When we arrived at the bus station, he followed me and told me how much he appreciated me giving up my seat and said "you are a very very kind person for doing that". I felt so happy about giving up my seat because after speaking with him, it was obvious that he was a lot slower mentally/physically than I had initially thought.

Good on you for doing that. People were probably too busy sitting there gawking at this poor man that it didn't even cross their minds to help the poor guy out, I'm glad that you did.

I think it's quite rare these days to see people do such kind things like that. Thesse days everyone is in it for themselves and don't really care about others os it's always nice to see when something like this does happen

It warmed my heart and made me smile for sure. Especially seeing this woman struggle, you could tell she was in rough shape but didn't feel sorry for herself one bit.

Real life stories like this renew my faith in humanity. Although if it weren't for the bad ones, I'm sure I won't be able to appreciate these kind souls. In line, I can always see those who are cutting and being such nasty jerks just to get ahead. How I wish there are more people like that lady.

Not only was this lady kind but she must've been hurting somehow since she was in the Emergency Room. So, even in pain or poor health she still put someone else ahead of her, this is almost unheard of.

Yes I've seen this pemngalaman. What I'm thinking is about helping each other and a sense of empathy for others. When we see others more in need of what is wrong if we give the opportunity to someone else first because I think people like that would be much liked by many people.

I'm sure this lady is surrounded by a lot of loved ones, how can someone not love her? I was sad to see her at the hospital alone though. Maybe she chooses to go alone and doesn't tell others she is suffering, I know a lot of selfless people try to tackle their battles on their own.
