What drives people to the brink?

A devoted housewife, left by her husband, abandoned by her children and all she has left are her friends. She did everything to protect them and they're she had. Then things started to change between them and she lost them one by one. She went to a cheap hotel room with a gun, a scented stationery, and was in deep thoughts.
Suicide. What makes us put an end to our life? Depression, hopelessness, poverty, loneliness? What will make you end your own life?
I have thought about it, but at the moment there's nothing in my life that would make me point a gun at my head and pull the trigger. Thank God!

In general, people will feel like ending their lives when they feel like they have lost their purpose or way in life. Depending on what drives you to live, it will become evident how strong you are once you lose your drive. For me, I guess I would lose my will to live when I truly believe I cannot accomplish my goals. While I might feel sad if I lose support from my family and friends, it will be losing my hope in accomplishing my goals, which will drive me to the edge. Once I lose my hope in completing my goals in life, it will be game over for me.

I think once people lost faith, this cAn drive them to take their own lives. Losing faith in themselves, losing Cain with Hod, losing faith in live itself are very dangerous bottomless pits that is hard to come out of. It is up to the person to climb herself out of it even if she's got all the support in the world if she doesn't have the will to do it it's not gonna happen.
I don't think I have it in me to pull the trigger and hurt myself, and to even end my life.

We are not that brave enough. When people lose the sense of living, they are numb to pain and they couldn't think straight anymore. Nor will they remember their faith.

If their little faith started to run out, they can not function without something to hold on. It happens, but we need to support the people who usually fall into this category of depression.

Every person faces problem in there life but that doesn't mean that they should go for suiside.
I also faced many problem in my life and there was a face that i also to get rid my life . But i started thinking very deeply what us going wrong. And tried hard to change all this . So try to go for a positive side.

hi tonigazon even the loss of my husband did not m ake me step out in mov ing traffic and get killed. I thought what the hell am i thijking my adult son is left you wish to do this and make him an orphan no. so I came to my senses a nd am glad i did as life is always so great.
