L.O.L. We have this television and it is rather large and it does not work my husband's brother gave it to him a while back but it used to work and my husband tried to fix it and still wants to try and fix it but it just sits in the hallway by the front door and I am so tired of it being there!!! I seems every time time he says he is gong to fix something it could be a year or two later before he gets to it and when I try to help do something he said he was going to do years ago just to get it out of the way he gets mad! I am so sick of that tv that probably is not ever going to work! I want it out of the way but he will get mad! It is just in the way! What would you do?

A while back a store near us would give a discount on whatever appliance someone bought if they turned in their older version to recycle. Like buying a new Tv that worked and getting rid of the old one. It is possible that a store near you may have the same idea, and it would be easier to convince him to get rid of it as it would be traded in and not thrown out and that way it would not be a waste. Whatever the solution, hope it works out.

I think the ease of fixing TV's disappeared ages ago when black and white tube TVs were replaced by solid state TVs. I remember one solid state TV I had went bad. A friend of my father was a TV repairman and he tried to find the part on the circuit board that went bad but it would up being easier just to replace the whole board. In those days (40 years ago), there were only 4 circuit boards for the whole TV. Today there might only be one.

If your husbsnd doesn't have much time to fix the television, might as well look for a repairman that can help you with it.

Haha, I have that problem here but with various other things. Let me tell you it is never going to get fixed. Unless you threaten to throw it out the window perhaps. I know how you feel. There is so much here that needs to be removed and for good. My mother is starting to let go of more of her things little by little but now she is even complaining about my brother's things here too. But won't confront him personally, just to our faces instead (alot of good that does!). You will have to tell them to fix it or get rid of it by a date you set (like an ultimatum), and if it's not gone you will throw it out. You make the rules woman. It's your call.

L.O.L.I wish! I should put that stupid t.v by the back door! Because we hardly ever use the front door but still it is so annoying!! So when he comes in from work it will just be sitting there in his way!!!
