Yesterday evening I had a terrible headache, it was on the right side of my head going down my neck. Alot of times when I get headaches no pain pills ever help. All I can do is stay in a quiet, dark room and sleep. Slept most of the morning today and when I finally couldn't take laying in bed any more I got up and my head didn't hurt anymore, it was just sore. Have any of you mylotters went to bed with a headache and woke up with a headache? Does anything help when you have a terrible headache?

I have had a headache a couple of times lately....and that is unusual. Everyone says it's allergies. With the fall coming so are the other allergins that cause it. Sleeping usually helps....so do sinus pills.

I have constant migraines. I feel for you. I wasn't even a teenager when over the counter headache medication quit working. I had to get prescription migraines medication, and sometimes even that didn't help. I can never sleep them off. Often I have them when I wake up, and sometimes they develop during the day. I put capsaicin (in roll on form) all over my neck, and sometimes even my head. It is not recommended to put capsaicin on your face, but I feel the burning pain of the capsaicin is better than the pain of the migraines. I also try to tie something tight around my head. I have a detachable bra strap that I put around my forehead and cinch tight.

I could never sleep with a headache nor have I ever gone to sleep with a headache, unless I smoke some weed, then I sleep like a baby and wake up good, I can't take pills those things don't help. Migrains are the worse too.

The good thing about me is that I don't have a headache that much. It is very rare nowadays for me. Maybe because I don't drink lots coffee now nor spend so much time on the computer. I find that whenever I have a headache, I am just like you I try to get some rest and that's it. But there are also certain times where I just take an over the counter paracetamol, and I'm okay, thank God.

I also experience that kind of headache sometimes especially if I have my monthly period. Sometimes it is painful only on some part of my head. I would usually take mefenamic acid and after 30 minutes or so I would feel better.

Havent you checked if it´s just a headache or a migraine? Migraines need special pills and a doctor could see that you get them. My mom used to have them and so did my sister. It was terrible! I have had normal headaches only. They don´t go away with pills, but I take a nap and they are gone.

Now days Headache is very common problem for all people . I also suffering from headache so many times and usually i avoid to take medicine because every medicine has some side effect so i like to control my headache using some other method ... Tea is best medicine for my headache and mostly its work for me most of time .. As in your case you said its only on rite side and also suffering from neck pain also , this combination symptom is present with meningitis disease so main think its how many episode you have ?? Mostly its because of heavy work load also so try to relief your body with light exercise and whenever you suffering from headache then drink more amount of water because some time its work , behind the reason of headache is vasoconstrication , Nitrous oxide constrict the vessel..

If I am just at home all I am doing is that drinking softdrinks, hot tea, energy drink but it depends on the situation there are times that I just need to complete my sleeping hours. But then if I am at the office I am taking Advil liquigel so it works but there are times that it has no effect. I have my migraine too and usually when there will change of weather then my headache starts.

hi!! it sounds that you have a hypertension, why don't you go to hospital for check up so that it can give you a proper medication. if you don't like perhaps you can massage and take a rest.

Hello my fellow lotter, I also get headaches that hurt so bad that I cannot seem to function properly. Are you certain it is a headache and not a migraine? Well, I kniow that sometimes caffeine helps with my headaches especially if I have not had my cups of cofee. You can also try putting a cool damp towel on youe forehead or back of neck. I have done these andit has help. I do lay in the dark also. I hope this helps.

hi there i experienced the same thing. what i did were massaged it with liniments before going to sleep. this kind of thing is sort helpful to me. for i can conclude that this headache would occur when you lacked of sleep. and sometimes because it is being caused by your eye nerves. :)

Yes , usually that is what i am doing always , if too much work , stress then head aches , so best way is not to take paracetamol but sleep for couple of hours then you will wake up fresh ..

Yes I know what u mean I've got one right now and nothing will help. I sometimes think theyre tension headaches when it feels like there is a clamp pushing my head inside. I used to ignore it but most of the time I can ignore it but most days I cannot function with my days. I told my doctor about them but he said its normal but I'm going to get a second opinion. Anyways u should talk to ur dr or go to a pharmacy and ask them what u can take and they help u :)
