I just heard of something that kept my mouth open for 5 minutes. One of those stories that you think "no way". A friend of a friend places bets on football games for years. Someone gives hime $12.000 to bet. He places the bet and wins $20.000. So, he tells the other person that he won $15.000. Places another bet and does the same. So he announces on facebook that he wants to buy his friends a drink because he won. Last night he told us how he "won". He bragged about stealing the money..from his friend. He just kept the money without saying anything to anyone. He was happy and bragging... A stupid man in his thirties... I am waiting for the next "no way" moment...

I can see that he´s stupid in several levels. It is inmoral to steal, but it is very stupid to show off such a thing announcing it at FB. In no time at all, it will reach the ears of the person he stole the money from. As you say, stupidity can reach high levels sometimes.

Wow, he doesn't sound too normal. Announcing on FB that he stole from his friend? I am sure that he will pay for this later... but even though he is proud of himself for such a crazy reason, I guess nobody will be proud to be his friend any more.

A friend is one who will be honest to you, irrespective of any gains or losses.Secondly he will never brag after cheating a friend,so do not put him under the label friend. He is cheat and keep him at an arms distance to keep you out of trouble.

This is not a normal behavior. Is out of his mind? He is a troubled person, stealing money from his friend. That is so rude, I am definitely that you will be cautious when he is around. Who know? He might steal something from you and the rest of your friends.

There are many such people with many such stories and when they realize or just out of boozing tell the whole world about their stupid trick that actually does not make any sense at that particular time. As the time has went away to make one's mistakes right. And that not for one or two guys that we counter and listen such cr*ps but there are many such guys. Once a man I know needed some money just for spending and for this cooked up a really nice story. He told his friend that he need money to play a lottery that has 80 times return. It needed to put in a minimum of $25 equivalent to bet. He called up a confederate (who was his own friend) and framed him as a new $2000 lottery winner. The friend out of innocence paid up the amount and not just for once but three times and never won a lottery. Actually the man who was asking for money to play a lottery never put money on stake.

Hello, Your friend's friend seems quite lucky to win bets. Its sad that he is cheating on people and earning money, its not at all difficult to catch him if the person who pays him money keeps a tab on the football bet and the prize money to be received. He can be caught red handed that way.

They could have agreed on a percentage of the profit, but he thought it was OK to steal...

His friend is bound to hear it and then he will be in trouble. Sometimes it is difficult to understand how these people think.

You can never be sure about how people think. This shows many things about his character, not only the fact that he was stealing from friends but also because of the fact that he is proud of it. When I meet this kind of people I just know that one day they will be in a very difficult position if the stealing is revealed. But sadly some people don't realise it even when this moment comes and they still blame others. At least now you know that you shouldn't trust him for your own business! I hope your friend will realise that what he did is wrong.

I sure know I can't trust him. But the fact that he is bragging will sure prove to be wrong and his friend will find out.

Yeppers, that's an idiot! First he's just the worst kind of sleazy liar, then an idiot? In any case, his bragging will do him in. Isn't that how they catch murderers and other characters like him. Maybe you can get the guy who lost money to join here and just happen to see this discussion... The numbers will ring a bell !

No need to join in, he might hear it anyway...
