Have you ever been around someone who likes to talk a lot? The person can actually hold intelligent conversations on different types of subjects and they can interpret these different subjects all to one and they just keep talking and talking. In your mind you're thinking blah, blah, blah to yourself.

My friend Gino loves to talk. His favorite phrase is "To make a long story short" but in reality, he's making short stories longer than they need to be.

My friend will sometimes use it two or three times in the same story! I just smile and say, "No, you're making a short story longer."

I may sometimes fall into that category, unfortunately. My whole family, actually. We have a hard time getting a word in edgewise with each other.

My husband has a hearing issue. He marvels at me going to a restaurant and afterwards telling him all about everything everyone around us was saying.

My in-laws are good at that. There can be three or four conversations going on at the same time and they all know what the conversations are about. Now, me on the other hand have hearing problems and I can only handle one conversation at a time.

Aaaahahahahaa! I've seen some discussions here like that and I don't know WHAT the heck they're talking about! Boy, did that make me laugh cause I can recall some of them. I read them and go..um, what? I only met one person like this in my life and I probably looked like this. I would imagine if I knew what they were talking about it would be more fun but they just keep on talking and I just keep on yawning. Reminds me of the energizer bunny, he just keeps on going.

Yes. I've got a friend who's a really lovely person, but I do tend to refrain from seeing him or phoning him, as once he starts talking he just can't stop. He is quite intelligent, but always seems to have to bounce every single thought he has off of other people, almost as if he's seeking approval for his ideas and opinions.

I do know a person that is like that and I will say that I have not seen them now in a while.I feel that some days I just want to tell them to slow down, or at least be quiet for a while. This person also use to interupt people when they were talking, now that crazes me when people do that, as I think that it is really rude.

i know what you mean. one gal that my son used to be with here and was kind of a friend off and on for years, used to do that and whats worse is sometimes she'd ask you a question and before you was finished answering that she'd ask you something else intirely! my mind dont jump back and forth that quickly on topics as hers could. im glad shes kind of out of our life now and i only have to talk on the phone with her every few months for a while.

Omg yeah lol! Last year, when my husband's business trip requires him to visit my country (they have a fab shop her), naturally he brought me with him and we had dinner with the bosses of the fab shop here. They are all nice people, very friendly and professional. Then the president just want shut up lol! It has been like 2 hours after dinner and frankly I'm starting to feel sleepy and I think the rest of the people at our table shared my sentiments exactly. Half an hour later and he's still not showing any indication that he will be finished talking anytime soon. What my husband's colleague did is stand up and say, "well, this has been really fun and productive, but we all need to get up early for ...." I almost heard collective sighs of relief lol!
