An American man made a friend and the friend asked for him to do a job for him. It was go to Turkey and collect some garments. He did that and got the money. He told his brother and he was interested in going to collect some garments. His brother went right off then idea when they found out the destination was Pakistan. He felt he had go because his brother had let his friend down. Off he went to Pakistan and he got the garments from his contact then took himself to the airport. At the airport he was arrested for drugs found in his garment bag. He didn't get on very well because they wouldn't accept his not guilty plea. He was put in a cell and a local man asked which nationality he was. He said American and the local people began to bash him! When he was put in the jail the local people tried to punch him. He was a strong man who gave as good as he got. He got tortured and that really shocked me. He stayed in jail for just over 2 years. Why would the court not accept a not guilty plea? Why did you think the local people were so hostile to the American man? Do you think torture should be outlawed in this day and age? Would you feel safe to travel to Pakistan?

This American man must have suffer from some sort of mental illness, why is he doing in that terror loving country?? No American with sound mind will want to go and live in that country where the most wanted terrorist is taking refuged and provided with a luxury mansion to avoid detection. He has got to be insane wanting to visit that country.

I would not feel safe traveling in any fundamentalist Muslim country because I'm a single woman, and Pakistan has become one of those countries. I do agree that torture should be outlawed, but making other countries do what we want them to is about the same as declaring war on them.

First off I don't understand why that man is living in Pakistan if he is truly America, is he a Pakistani with an American citizenship or just regular American? either way both are not accepted.

oh why would anyone want to go to pakistan, i don't get it. I will never because so much of terror their. Gosh I can imagine how they must have bashed this man from America. crazy people. one of my cousin who was studying on scholarship in Australia, there she met a Pakistani guy and fell in love. He has been to Fiji and my cousin was serving bond of 3 years for her scholarship. the boy was nice and they had already got married. They live in Australia now and are very happy. but I would not prefer going there because most people are terror people and they can do anything. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
