Some people are not aware that they must cover their mouth when coughing.

A pleasant day Fellow Mylotters,
I just can't really explain why for some reason, people who has a cough cannot cover their mouth when coughing. And to think, this is not too difficult to do. Thus, you just need to put your hands to cover your mouth. Or perhaps, holding your handkerchiefs to cover your mouth. Hence, it is annoying if the person besides you especially inside a public utility vehicle is having a hard cough. And they don't even think that they are spreading a bit of virus when coughing. In this regard, are they really not aware that they must cover their mouth when coughing.

that is indeed very annoying..i hate that kind of people who cough without covering their mouth, why can't they do that? it's not hard.yes.a lot of people are aware but maybe they just don't like to do so and would prefer to cough by not covering their mouth.

You are right, I felt a little irritated too whenever I am in public and someone cough just a few inches away from me and won't even do a little effort to cover their mouth. I felt the urge to tell them " cover your mouth when you cough please ", have some manner.. hahaha! but then I will try to say it when given a chance, it is not only saving myself from virus that they might be spreading but also the people around who has low immune system...

I know how you feel.
I have been experiencing that everyday. 
Instead of them covering their mouth when coughing, it is us (who's more aware) that's covering our noses and mouth when they cough. The good thing there is that, at least we are aware of whatever virus we can get.

I know how it feels being with those kind of people. I can assumed we are still not much educated when it comes to hygeine and respect. It's not just covering the mouth when you have cough, also like closing the door when you get in or out, or even saying excuses between two people talking.Gush we mush learn to be educate manners coz it is important.
How iwish they would realize that someday.

Common sense/manners have gone out the window!
When I was on the truck with my husband it is amazing how many people don't have manners. We ate at a lot of truck stops that would have buffets. People would cough or sneeze not covering their mouths, or people not washing their hands after using the restroom. Not only is it unsanitary to other's, but unsanitary to yourself.

I know that is very rude and disgusting!
Around here I guess for several years now it has been taught to the kids and showed to the adults to put the fold of your arm(opposite your elbow) up to your mouth to prevent spreading germs with your hands by touching something afterwards.
I think that is a great idea.

I guess we are taught about covering our mouths when we are coughing since elementary or younger than that. It's one of the good manners which we ought to know. I guess if people are not that aware that they are spreading viruses, we should just wear a face mask. By using that, we are safer not only by getting cold or cough's viruses but other airborne viruses. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I can't imagine how'd they managed to cough without covering their mouths.

They are not cautious about their health and health of others. So shameful , they are still so ignorant about how germs are being transmitted , and no care and concern for their fellowman.

Surely something like that is just common manners. Don't they know that if a perosn doesn't cover their mouths when they cough it can spread germs? Some people need to be more considerate of others.

I think that most people are just too lazy to. They think that it is just one cough and that it won't effect anyone but in reality, a simple cough may be what get someone else sick. I think that people should cover their mouths more often, especially when coughing.
