How would you feel if you just moved near to your workplace, then after a couple of weeks there's a rumor that the top dog is planning to move to a different location? Hmmmm. I can't believe that that's about to happen to me. LOL. I guess I need to move again one of these days. Our location is already good. It's near the center of the city. THe place is convenient for us. I'm wondering why they are considering the idea of moving out. Anyway, fellow mylotters what do you say about this situation? Feel free to share your thoughts. Happy mylotting.

Since you said there is a RUMOR about the move, I would hold off thinking any kind of way about it until I knew for SURE whether the job is actually going to move or not. Sometimes rumors tend to be fake. I would just wait it out, although admittedly it is hard NOT to think about it. If it does turn out to be true, then hopefully the move will be close and you won't have to move again anytime soon. Moving is a lot of hard work. You're a good employee, moving so that you can be close to your job. Hopefully if you have to move again, this will be IT for a long while!!

Yes, it's better to live near our workplace because when we get late, even if it's just a minute after 2pm, they'll deduct one hour of our salary. That's already big for us. Living in the city, it's impossible to avoid traffic jams. They are really quick in deducting, no second thoughts. However, when we always arrive early or on time, there's no reward for that. Other companies have. Even little things make employees happy. Nowadays, even tissue papers aren't free. LOL. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

To them, it's legal. But when we ask them some documents, it will be very difficult for them to give us one. They always feel suspicious. They always let us sign something. LOL. So paranoid.

It happens all the time. And we are just employees that surely we will comply. But sometimes this is what our bosses do not consider. It is not that easy to be moving form one place to another. It's kinda a little bit hard to adjust to the environment, the atmosphere. But anyway, if you love your job then why not, right? "Follow what the boss says, after all they're the boss and we are the under dogs".

Yes, I agree with you. Top dogs always win. Under dogs must always obey them. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Well that bites! In this time of high unemployment, road rage and traffic fatalities on the rise due to commuting, and all the people both in America and other third world countries that would like to just have a job that paid well and which was within their field or skillset. Keep it in perspective. It is nice to still have a job!

Yes, I am still thankful and happy of my job even if it will change its location. I just hope that it will not cause a big problem to my budget. It's quite hard to budget. LOL. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Well my friend, you have to weigh things. If it isn't much of a bother that you would be moving out also to be near the new workplace , why not. However, if it will be too much of a bother, you can opt to find a new job.

Yes, the problem is I can't afford to be in idle for a long time. I'm the breadwinner. I guess, I'll just stay in the job and I will really try to save money from now on. It know it's not easy to find a job. If ever I have to find one, at least I have my savings. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

There is nothing much you can do but hope that the new location is near the place you are staying now. If it is true that the company is moving to a new location I think it is decided because of different factors. The rent might be cheaper or maybe the company will occupy a better place. For sure if ever they decided to transfer, it is for the best. Goodluck!

Yes, you are right. To pray is just the thing I could do about it. I hope he will consider the distance of our houses and new workplace. It's good for him because he has his own transportation. If it's far, we have to take the taxi every night and for sure it will cost us a lot. I have to budget my money again for my family and myself. It hope it wouldn't be difficult to make both ends meet after the move. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

It would be so nice and convenient to live near the work place, I'd be disappointed to find out if they were relocating further away from you. When you live close, you can factor in less preparation time to get ready for work because travel time alone can sometimes be too long. I hope it works to your benefit in the end.

Yes, I am also praying that moving to a new place will give us good benefits not bad ones. I guess we'll endure some inconvenience until we get to move near the workplace again. Five out of eight employees live in the neighborhood. So if we'll really move, all of us five employees will reconsider moving again. It's not beyond our control. I hope he will consider us too. I've observe that the convenience of his employees is the last thing on his mind. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

It is horrible when people make decisions which have a big effect on you but when you don't have any say in it at all. But unfortunately, unless you have another job lined up that you could go to, there isn't all that much that you can do about it other than try to find somewhere to live in the place that your company is working to, and try to make sure that it doesn't have too much of an impact on your family. I would hate to have to move towns at the moment because I have lived here for my whole life, but I would do it if there was no other option for me.

Oh, you are right. I guess we don't have any choice but to go to the new work place. I just hope that it's just near to our current workplace. That way, it's still near our boarding house too. My family isn't affected because I am working in another place alreasy. I only go home on the weekends. My sister and I just moved a couple of weeks because our previous boarding house is under renovation. I guess we have to move again soon and they will pursue the idea of moving. Thanks for posting and happymylotting.

Of course that would be a bit annoying. Once the company/office moved to a farther place, that it means you have to find another place nearer to it and moving is tiring. Though it's nice to see new places and a way exciting- but moving again and again is not a way too funny with all the things that we need to carry with us.

Yes, it's really difficult to move from one place to another. It will take us time looking for a boarding house again. It's really troublesome. We have to find a convenient but affordable one. We should wake up early everyday until we find one. Looking for a house is quite difficult as well as packing our things. I hope the top dog will change his mind or postpone the move after yuletide season. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I suppose it is more convenient indeed to move near your workplace. The expenses for gas (if you have your own car) or for public transportation will certainly lessen. But it also depends on your comfort level with your current home. If you feel like it's okay to go to work from where you live at the moment, then it's all good.

Well, at least you'll be in the center of town to get another job. I always try to live close to where it's easily accessible to get around to various businesses. Most of the jobs I've had I lived on site as a manager. With the way the economy is, you're lucky to have a job.

Oh, we are already near the center of the city now but I guess he wants to go a little farther from the center of the city. I wish that getting a job is quite easy but it's not. There's nothing we can do but we have to wait for the final decision. I hope they will tell us soon so that we can adjust our budget for food, transportation, etc. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Oh why move ? Seems it is the hardest , imagine you will be in new environment again? New set of people ? Not easy but if it is because of compulsion then it is alright !There are times when we got to choose from least evil.

Yes, you're right. When we move we spend money for the transportation. It will cause us a lot of time to pack things. Also, we have two weeks to find a good boarding house to live in. It should be peaceful, convenient and affordable. We'll undergo a lot of things again. Yes, if they really want to move we are obliged to go to work everyday, wherever it is... LOL. Thanks for posting. Happy mylotting.

See If I ever think about it to get a flat or house near my workplace like I am thinking right now and am much amazed that much can I deduce or reduce the distance between my workplace and my living place. As there is no human settlement in between my living place and workplace and it is hardly 50 yards. And what if then a Top Dog come to live next building. Well we can invite each other to dinner or just a for a day out. The Mr. TopDog can serve me Hot dog on sats and suns. I may offer him nice tea in weekend mornings. Well that will be a nice and amusing experience.

Oh, your boss is good compared to our boss. Even if we already live near them, they didn't even bother to take us out even just for a day. We've been working for them for more than four years and they never asked us to eat out. LOL. That would be a miracle if ever it will happen. LOL. I hope you can live near your workplace too. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.
