What age is too old for Pokemon?

There are a lot of things that we enjoyed as children and no longer find interesting now as we have grown into adults. One of the hit crazes that many kids from the 80s and 90s remember is Pokemon. Pokemon games are still being made today and I believe the newest game is set to be released in just a few months. The question is, when should someone decide to put down Pokemon? Should they stop playing the children's game when they become teenagers or when they become adults? My personal view is to not feel like you have to stop liking something just because you are older. I am 19 and I can proudly say that I still enjoy playing Pokemon. I still find the concept of catching and battling virtual creatures fun and I find nothing wrong with it really. At this point I don't think I will ever stop playing Pokemon games until the series is cancelled. Let me broaden the question a little bit for you. Is it OK to still enjoy kid's games when you are older and "mature".

Yes of course. I find nothing wrong if you still enjoy kid's stuff even if you're 40 or 50. It makes you feel younger, too. I myself, am 23 and I still keep my Pokemon stuffed toy.

I think if you are 30 years old, you should not be playing Pokemon. The game itself has been around for quite sometime now though.

I think it is still alright to enjoy kids games like this one specially if you could still play them and enjoy it. You are too old for pokemon if you can't remember your pokemon. LOL. But I still enjoy this game even though its been year since I last played it. Sometime you can't help yourself be bored because its the same scenario over and over again but its still a challenge to tame a pokemon, defeat pokemons and gym masters, and win the pokemon league. The graphics of the game has not change if I'm correct, I hope in the future they could do more to improve it. I like the graphics right now but if they could improve it that sounds better, right?

I say do what makes you happy however.......your friends might find it hilarious you like pokemon...but who cares....they'll get over it. I'm an adult and I love cartoons and people find it a little strange but pfft they can bite me.

You are NEVER too old. I'm 23 and have loved Pokemon ever since it's release. I really don't think it is an infantile game. It takes hard work and if you enjoying doing it, who cares? You have to do what makes you happy in this life.

I'm 25 and I can still enjoy original Pokemon games on Game Boy- Red, Blue or Yellow. But I can't stand any Pokemon beyond that. I don't know, I just think I really hated the design of all Pokemon after the original 151 and couldn't get over them.

I don't think that anyone is too old to play Pokemon or any game for that matter. You shouldn't stop doing or playing something you like doing unless you feel you should stop yourself unless it is harmful to your physical or mental health or to others. The people who developed Pokemon must be in their 40s at about now and they continue releasing new games. I think if you were brought up in the 80s or 90s Pokemon will always be something you look forward to playing to see how it has adapted and developed throughout the years. It is just a natural curiosity just like how some people have been following Mario since the NES or pacman. I am 23 and I will be getting the new game maybe not immediately but maybe if I can get a second hand copy after Christmas and I will be most definitely be getting a wiiu when it is released. Plus I think battling with mythical creatures and treating them well is much more time and cost efficient than getting a puppy or other animal for Christmas. I think its fine to play pokemon or any game providing you don't become obsessed with it and stop eating or bathing or anything extreme like that.

Thing that differ adults and children is their responsibility. As an adult, we have to aware that we need to be responsible for every things that we do. All I'm trying to say is, once you finish your jobs and have some free time, you may play Pokemon all the day . Pokemon is suitable for all ages. It never be too late to start training Pokemon, even if you're already old enough

I also agree because I'm 20 and not only do I still play Poke'mon, I also watch the show every now and then. I do things that make me happy and if it just so happens to be Poke'mon, then so be it. Who cares what other people think. You don't need to fit in with "adults", and I put it in quotations because nobody is really as mature as they try to make you believe they are, unless their honest like us. Lol be yourself and do it what makes you happy. If you don't you'll be miserable. Also, if you have an Android phone, theres a way that you can download Poke'mon games and play it on your phone. I have Ruby version on mines. It's great and I have nostalgic moments every time I play it.
