It's freezing right now, Im shovering liek crazy. I just got a cup of hot chcocolate to warm up. But if Marco, Max & Gizmoe get in this environment too long they will get sick. Marco is already sneezing I dont know if its from him jumping in and out of the litter pan, and the dirt that way , or from the temperature. I asked if they could turn it on at least. I got yelled at again begin it September most places dont turn it on until November. I brought Marco up onto my bed for now, but I dont know how long he will stay.

I hope that Marco didn't get sick, and that the place warms up some. It is a iffy kind of September, today I was wearing a hoodie on top of my T-shirt type of sweater/shirt cause it was so cold. During the night I was cold just with one blanket so had to throw the other one on then finally fell back to sleep again. What place is this, at home? they are always yelling, ask them to please talk to you like an adult cause you're not a kid anymore, sheesh. I get made fun of if I feel cold here at times, as if I can control how cold or hot I feel. People are such jerks. Family included, for me.

My room is the only one without the heater. Its so small it was deemed a fire hazard so the town made them pull it out. The pipes are right under my floor so it makes it colder in here. I am always cold, but I was more worried about Marco, Max & Gizmoe as it does get very cold. I do wake up freezing, when I move out my trailer will be a sauna.

I have not had guinea pigs, but I have had rabbits, They can stand the cold or ccooler environment. I had more than one that lived outside in the winter. I do not think that inside the house he will get too cold. Maybe you can get something like a heating pad and put it under their cages so that they do not contact it but it warms up their environment. They can huddle in the hay pretty well, too.

Marco sleeps just on the floor of the cage (weird I know), he will shove the hay, and shavings out the side of the cage. The floor is really cold as the pi[pes are under my floor and seeps up. I swear there is a leak in the wall, or window something. But its always cold in my room, where as they can be sweating away.

That is one trouble of living somewhere you cannot control the thermostat. There have been a few nights when we had to turn the heat on. I pay for my own heat so it doesnt matter. What you should do is get a little electric space heater that you can plug in to warm the room up that you are in. Your cat will not get sick if your house is cold they have a lot of fur that keeps them warm.

I have a tiny heater but am not allowed to plug it in. They track literally all the hydro. I wasnt really worried with the cats, but more the rabbit, and guinea pigs as they were shivering.

Don't you have a window unit that is both air and heat? I'd turn that on. You pay your rent, they should allow you to turn the heat on for a bit. If that means the cost of your rent goes up a little, then so be it, but they are being really unfair to you and not thinking of the animals wellbeing either.

Nope, its just a fan which I put away in the cupboard. My room doesnt have a heater whereas the other bedrooms do. My room is always cold because the pipes are right under my floor, so it seeps up. I do have a portable heater from college my parents bought when my landlord refused to turn up the heat but it sucks up the hydro and they would not be happy. It's cheapier to turn the stove on down the set of stairs from mme.

It sounds to me as if they just want you to suffer. I'd invest in some heavy down comforters if you don't already have them but that doesn't answer the problem for the pets.

Not sure but I tend to use the portable ceramic space heaters as long as you start them in advanced you should have a nice and toasty room for your little babies :-)If your ok and just worried about them it would be a great idea and cheap if you can either fins a used one at your thrift shop, or a menards like home improvment store they tend to be really low Iv'e seen them for $15.00 at certain times. ANd like you said it still is off season and they should be at there lowest now. But really used is just as good as long as you inspect the cord and try it in the store before leaving :-) You could keep it behind a baby gate or some safe enclosure so little paws and noses don't get burned :-)

I wish I was in the trailer as well. I'm going around tomorrow to put out resumes. I figured out about 7 - 12 months saving $1400 a month would pay the trailer in full. I'm hoping to pick up a couple jobs, and get at it faster.

We have been lucky here that we haven't had to really turn on the heat yet, and I don't look forward to it at all because of the fact that I don't like the expense that comes along with turning the heat on for the winter. With that said, if you don't have a vent in your room, I would recommend that you consider getting a space heater that you can use in your room. I know that they can be expensive in terms of how much electricity that they use, but if you just use it to keep the room from getting too cold, it wouldn't be all that bad.

Hopefully you do not have flu. I often get flu if it's getting cold, I even put on my socks while sleeping to reduce the chill. I fall asleep easier when temperatures are hot than when they are cold. When its hot atleast I can turn on my AC
