Gosh I can't handle this anymore. The above post was for another discussion and by mistake got posted here and I am very sorry about it. This is the second time it is happening so I think I need a break because my mind is drifting I guess. Well coming back to your topic, yes salad should be included in your diet. It is fresh and makes the diet very healthy. It is always best to eat salads. Some people go on salad diet to lose weight which I was planning. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

hello, What you said there my friend is absolutely true. Salad is very important part of our diet and each and every people should eat salad every day. Its very very good for our health and really helps in the digestion process also. You don't need to have a large number of items in your salad. Even a cucumber can serve as a salad. It should be a part of our regular diet and that's how we can remain healthy. Take it my friend its a good discussion. I personally love salad and I love to eat tomatoes and cucumber.

Yes, usually salads are of vegetables and fibers, such as fruits and green veggies. And we all know that those foods are filled with fibers which can really be a good roughage to our body. I like potato salad and chicken macaroni salad the most. What's yours?

Yes, I agree, however, it appears that you have only adressed just one of the many benefits of eating more salads. Salads, to me, should be 100% raw & contain no animal products, to have any real, tangible benefits at all. Eaten daily, such salads can help make us feel lighter, less tired, more aware & alert, calmer, providing us with a greater clarity of thought & some of the basic groundwork on which to build the framework to enhance every good quality within us & bring it to the fore! Studies show that humans absorb all nutrients far better from plant products than animal products. Properly prepared to include every vegan food group, salads can be made a staple in our diets, rather than merely an occassional inclusion.

You are absolutely right, many tend to eat more processed and fast food than anything. Which can be the reason for many health problems. In the year I made myself goals, and change in diet and lifestyle is one of them, and controlling my Ulcerative Colitis.

Salads are an excellent source of nutrition. Their vegetable base is a great source of fiber. You can add other food groups, as well as fruits to salads. For example, you can add protein sources - meats, cheese, eggs, seafood, dried fruits, croutons, nuts. Salads can be a whole meal.
