Please share your experiences you have on Amazon's mechanical turk. How often do you make a payout there? Are gift cards better than cash?

Its not bad I'll say. I tried it sometimes back. I did around 35 tasks and earned $4. Then I started to feel bore and stopped visiting. Good thing is that there are thousands of tasks readily available. Some tasks really pay high, if you can qualify for them. If you like doing simple tasks, its a good site to look forward to. I think cash is better. Because the gift cards are usually of Amazon. There's no way that you can redeem Amazon gift cards in India. Better request for cash. Fortunately mTurk is not available in most countries, but it is available and sends cheques to India. Its a site that I'll always recommend to try. Pure working site, no need of referrals. Earn according to whatever and how much you can work. Sounds justified. Good day!

Yeah there is a processing charge of $4. It is really heartbreaking and discouraging. To me it makes no sense. Dupremo, is the charge one time or you need to pay it each time you request payout? I'm under the impression that it is a one time payment. Not sure though!

Amazon Mechanical Turk is one of my favorite sites. I've been a member for about a year and a half now. I've earned a little over $200 so far this year on there. I normally make payout on there once a week if I put a lot of effort into it. I personally prefer the cash, but I think the gift cards are the best option since there isn't a minimum payout required for converting your Amazon money into gift card money. Besides being unfairly rated on a few occasions, I really don't have anything bad to say about Mturk.

dear prospectboy and chevymama(welcome to mylot), I have made $4.32, but the account balance to be transferred to amazon shows 0.02 cents .What is the minimum payout and do we have to do tasks daily in order to get the money? i would like to transfer it to gift cards, but I live in India, so is that possible?

I get active with this site about 2 years back and reach the minimum withdrawal of $10. The problem is, I only could able to transfer it to my Amazon account. Then I leave them. I'll use them again if they use Paypal as the payment processor.

I doubt they ever use Paypal. I think I read somewhere that Amazon and Paypal were in competition with each other. If you notice, you can't use Paypal to pay for purchases on Amazon.

Well I have done a lot of work at mturk but was not able to get the payout because the procedure of mturk regarding payout are hard and you need to register your home bank account to mturk with all the neft codes and all formalities you have to complete including passport copy and your proofs........ So it has become difficult to get the payout, and we'll I had a hard time getting payout I had around 9.59 dollars at mturk still to come In my PayPal.
