Have you experienced ordering meal other than Almuchow at Chowking? I'm supposed to order chaofan, but as always the cashier will discourage you to order their other meals. They would tell you that it would take 15-20min if you would order other than Almuchow. Well of course that is to endorse their Almuchow. But what happened to me is I still waited 20min before they served my order. Another thing is Beef Tapa is not worth the price, it has very small serving. And to add more for my bad breakfast, they prioritized the other woman who also ordered Beef Tapa Almuchow but for take out, even I ordered 5min before her.

I have never tried that meal. Actually, the only dishes that I order from chowking are their spicy chao fan, lumpiang shanghai, and nai cha (crushed ice). The rest I just don't feel like having. And yes, they do that all the time, try to sell you off another meal. They did that to me just this week when I was feeling lay to cook some luncha nd I just decided to order to go. The usual spicy chao fan and shanghai rolls. They said it will be for 7 minutes, if I'm willing to wait. I said I sure am. Well, it took them 15 minutes to serve my take out meal.

I love their spicy chao fan too but not their breakfast meals. I stop ordering their kangkong and bagoong as it's giving me rashes. i don't have any allergies with bagoong but i don't know what's in their bagoong that causes me to have rashes. I am here in US and I miss Chowking...hehehehe! Hope there will be improvement with their service and their meals too.

Yeah you are right. If you are really hungry, better go to jollibee or mcdo. Also the servings in chowking are very small, it's not worth the money.I'd choose mang inasal over chowking because of the portion of servings.

Next time, I'll go to Jollibee instead. But Jollibee Group of Companies should do something, since Chowking is under Jollibee.

The first time I ate in Chowking was when I was in university. My sister and I got interested to the tv commercial because the food looked tasty. When we ordered that noodle, it was really hard for us to chew and swallow. We were so pissed off and left our orders. We just tasted it once and we couln't even swallow it. LoL. I even told my sister that we shouldn't eat in Chowking anymore. However when I tasted chao fan, braised beef and another latest dish, I already want to eat in Chowking again and again.

Oh, yeah. Sometimes they are so slow in serving our orders especially in my hometown. I hope they will hire more crews.

Well, some meal is worth the price, they just should really do something about their serving time.

I never try this meal.Usually I eat chowpan or lauriat there and so far no bad experience in foods that I ordered. What I am complaining was the time of their serving was quite long. You really wait for so long till your order was served.

That's right. They never did anything about the time it takes them to serve food. Not really a good thing because they still fall under the category of fastfood.

Yeah, i think if they would still continue their serving time. They shouldnt fall under fastfood.

I love taking breakfast in fast food chains especially in Jollibee. But in Chowking once I took an orange chicken for breakfast, sometimes they serve it tastfully great sometimes they serve it like they rushed on the cooking of that certain dish. In other words this chain is not that consistent compared to McDonalds and Jollibee.

It really depends on the branch. There are also branches that are franchised only.

My boyfriend and I first dined at Chowking as a couple, so we made sure that we do that every anniversary. However, it stopped when we saw that their quality was diminishing while their prices are increasing. I think that franchise is sure to go down eventually, they're not looking into quality more and they think that their products are really good that they could just let go of quality at that. It's really sad to see these things going nowhere but heck the owner needs to look into these problems as early as possible else the business franchise would cease to exist. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Their food is no longer worth their price, right? I agree that the franchise may just go down the drain. It's a pity because some years ago, Papa Chen was their endorser. He was still young then. I hope that they rethink their marketing strategy and up the quality of their food given the price.

Hello there Ztuberi. I also love eating in Chowking at times. I usually eat there with my sisters, mother and boyfriend. Though, I haven't tried ordering their Almuchow yet. I usually eat there at lunch time and dinner time. Sometimes, I think their service is also a bit slow. Like we really needed to wait for some minutes before we could eat and enjoy our meals. As a result, we would really be hungry while waiting. Oh, I think what happened to you was a bit terrible. They discouraged you when you wanted to order Chao Fan for you to order one of their Almuchow meals but you also waited for how many minutes before they could serve it. It's not even worth your money because of the small serving. I think I'm really disappointed when I go to some fast-food chains and the servings they would give me are only very small. My eyes would really grow bigger. :) It's like I wanted to regret ordering those meals. The other bad thing was when they served the order of the other customer first while you knew that you were really the first who ordered. I think that's not that fair. I just hope that they would really improve the way they serve their customers so everyone would really be happy and satisfied eating in their different branches available nationwide. In order for the costumers to really enjoy savoring their meals, they should satisfy them with their good service too. Oh, I hope you are feeling better now. Enjoy eating your dinner and happy myLotting to you. :)

Hi ztuberi, I love eating at Chowking but I really observed that instead of improving theri service and food--it's went bad. Waiting time is quite long and you're right the amount of serving is not worth the price. So, I just settled with their wanton soup--fast and the taste still the same though as time goes by their noodles are getting lesser and lesser. They need to improve their customer service not only during breakfast but all the time. They too need to improve on their meal service.

Bad breakfast indeed, I think it's the servant's fault. Most fast food do not give 100% of consumer satisfaction. I have eaten in Chowking 3 times in my entire life as far as I remember. I'm not really fan of what they serve but I haven't had a bad experience though in other fast food company I did.

Maybe, half of it is the cashier or servant's fault. They were not even friendly.

That's not nice. I used to like Chowking, but had a falling out with it in the recent years. Now, I just enter their restaurant only if I had no other choice. I think that their price is not worth their product. I hope that they change their marketing strategy soon.

I agree with you. Chowking really has long serving time. That is why, if you're in a hurry, never go to Chowking! I have dined in so many of their branches and not once did I get my order within 5 minutes after ordering. Though I must admit, I love their chow fan dishes and their noodles :).
