The computers are down

So today, my husband had to take a lunch break away from work as he had to get one of his prescriptions filled. This ended up taking a lot more time than it should have because the employees at the pharmacy said that they were not able to fill his prescription until Thursday, despite the fact that his doctor had specifically written on the prescription "fill on or around September 25."
Then he wanted to get his expired driver's license renewed. Should have taken about ten minutes. However, after searching the garage for a parking space, we get into the DMV, where he is told, "Sorry we can't help you today because our computers are down." This really aggrevated both of us because it ended up being a lot of time that was wasted for us.
How about you, have you had anything that happened today that really annoyed you?

Once in a while, I have to pick up my kids from school. And since it's a bit far from my work, it usually takes about 40 minutes to get there, pick up the kids, and then get back to work. I only have a 30 min lunch break, but people at work don't say anything when I'm late just 10 minutes coming back.
This past week, when I had to pick up the kids, there was a parade on my way to school. So what should have been a 40-minute trip took about an hour. It's annoying because I should still be at work, and that I didn't even get to have lunch.

This is something that is about to become a very big issue for us. The reason is that I still have to take my friend to and from the jail every evening and Keeneland (the horse racing track in our city) just opened for their fall season today. Of course, it is on my way between here and there so it is going to be a huge pain in the behind. Luckily, she does have another friend taking her home today.

Oh yeah, I've definitely had more than my fair share of days that I wish that I had just spent the entire day in bed.

Oh no, how annoying it must have been for you guys! If it were done the "old" way, without computers, one would never have this sort of problem!
This has nothing to do with the discussion, but side note - I had to renew my license too. I went to the DMV - and I had not made an appointment. I was sweating it because I was with my run-around son - and I hoped I could get in and out as quickly as possible. I got out in 45 minutes and my son was actually almost good the entire time. I almost got charged $81 instead of $31 due to the clerk's typo - good thing I checked.
Back to the discussion. What's annoying me right now is I'm waiting for an answer from my daughter's friend's mother to see if we are having a playdate this morning or not!!! She was supposed to message me on Facebook last night to tell me (because it all depends on her work schedule). Apparently she can only tell me on Facebook because they have the computer, but no phone because they had to cut that off (amongst other things they had to cut off, including water, because they are having serious money problems right now) . . . so I just don't know!!!!!! If the computers were down - then I guess I would never know!!

That would really be something that would drive me nuts with the playdate thing because I am definitely not one of those people that likes to allow things to happen at the last minute. I really do like to have my plans set ahead of time.

I don't know if this will qualify as an annoyance or a full blown war rage lol. But I was told to come to the renewal center at 7am for the 8am start of the office but we were just let inside at 10am. Then we were handed numbers but when we're already inside, the numbers weren't followed.

For me, that would be something that would definitely qualify as a full blown rage. Heck, I am sure that you had a lot of better things to do with your time.
