After a legendary match between SL and NZ, the 2nd game for the day was also going in the footsteps of the game before in the latter overs in ICC Cricket T20 World Cup, 2012 in Sri Lanka. West Indies started well with Gayle and Johnson. But in the middle they were pulled back by the English bowlers. But at the end again they batted really well and posted a good total in Pallekale stadium where, 2nd batting is never easy ! After a dissapointing start Hales and Morgan fought back really hard. But they were 15 shot at the end. Well played England too.

The first game between SL and NZ was thriller but both the teams fielding was average. Lot of chances given that is why the match became interesting. Dilshan superb innings saved the day for Sri Lanka if not Sri lanka would have struggled to reach the target set by kiwis. What ever too many wides in that super over cost the match for New Zealand. At last there is something to cheer for Sri Lankan fans. But Sri Lanka has good bowling attack but their batting is something which is not firing up. Jayawardena and Sangakarra have to play more responsible and so that Dilshan need not have to worry about the other end. Malinga did bowl well and earned a win for Sri Lanka and it is great start for them with a win. Hope they win remaining matches and qualify for semis. Second match was very interesting, when England came for batting I thought Craig Kieswetter innings will be key. But he got out for duck and then another 2 wickets fallen then I thought they will set another record of lowest score just like the match against India. But somehow Morgan and the other opener steady the innings and brought the score very close to the set target of winning the match. In the last over they needed 23 odd runs of 6 balls and they tried their level best to achieve that but fell short because of good bowling by samuels. I thought spinner in the last over is risk but West Indies were fortunate that they won this game. I feel West Indies need to tighten of their bowling to win matches in coming games. Batting is looking ok right now because of coming back of Chris Gayle. Hope that West Indies play well in coming games. Another defeat for New Zealand and England then it would be end of their prospects of semi final spot. So, tournament is getting interesting.

It is always great to watch good matches. I think it is good to see tight matches than the one-sided matches. I think it was one of the close match to watch and most probably England need someone to start from the first ball itself a go and to hit runs to win the match.

The real business in the ICC T20 starts now. After the first match gave a rousing start with a super over, the second match was another close contest. I thought the Windies will run away with the match at one stage. But a fantastic fightback by Hales and Morgan to get England so close in the end. But the Windies team seems to be a very good side with their heavy batting. Cheers! Ram

Yeah... at the end it turned out to be a good one... in the power play if England innings.. it was completely a one-sided game :)

Johnson Charles and Chris Gayle was the two key players for West Indies for the last match. They really played a significance innings to the victory. They are the ones who brought game to the side. Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan played well. They had given a good runs for the team England but still they did not do good as they thought. Anyway the game was so interesting tight. I hope each of the viewers was just excited to see the result of the game.
