Is cleaning your house a pleasure?

Hi, Some people are naturally untidy and they are not bothered with a messy place at all. In fact, if it were neat and tidy they will probably feel uncomfortable living in a place like that. Anyway for me I would definitely like to stay in a neat and tidy environment. However keeping it that way is another matter unless one has a maid to do the cleaning and tidying up. It usually takes a lot of time and effort to keep the place clean. There are better things to do with my time.

I will agree that a clean house does lighten your mood. The only trouble around here is getting it cleaned and keeping it that way. It's hard when I'm not very good or fond of cleaning (my mother didn't clean at all nor made me growing up) and it's left in my hands while the other 4 look at me like I'm nuts for getting upset when they leave their dirty things around or drop stuff on the floors and walk away. I ask them to pick things up and it's like talking to myself.

I don't always enjoy doing work around the house, but I will say that there is nothing better than living in a clean house, so I enjoy the feeling after everything is done. I make sure that I do all of my house work right after I get up in the morning, because then it is done and I can concentrate on everything else that I would like to do with my day. I will normally put a load of washing in first thing and then make my breakfast and get a shower, so by the time I've got dressed my washing is ready to hang out to dry. Then I'll iron the washing that I washed and dried the day before, and do some more odd jobs. I have always finished by lunch time, which means that I have the whole of the afternoon to do whatever I want to before I have to cook dinner and then wash up after it.

No! Never! A clean house means I can't find the things that I have to find compared to a messed up house. At least when my room is messy, I can find my things easily. If it's clean and orderly, I can't remember where my things are! Am I relaxed if my place is in order? Maybe. But I really don't care even if my place isn't exactly spotless as well. I just want to find my things easily.

Yes, i like my clean house,listening music in the house,i feel relaxed.I love life like this.

I have that as well. When i vacuum the house i put on some music with my earphones and i'll just do it relaxed.

Definitely it's a pleasure for me. I don't like to see my house in a mess. I want my house always clean and pleasing to the eyes. I just can't live with a messy house and surroundings.
