My throat was very dry, and now its starting to hurt. Everyone t work tonight is sick, and coughing all voer the place. I am sitting here watching tv and my throat is sore. I keep having a drink but I'm sure I'm getting what everyone else has had, and spread.

If you have any honey around take that for the throat and maybe even some lemon juice. I saw on a FB page that if you store some honey in a small jar with some lemon slices in it in the fridge for awhile it can help with colds and sore throats. Just take a teaspoon of it maybe three times a day. Zinc and Vit C helps as well. Extra Vit D as well. Hope you are not getting the same thing as your co-habiters. For me being someone with an auto-ammune thing going on I haven't even had a cold in maybe 3 years now and I take a multi vitamin with a larger amt of Vit C and D at times. But tyhats what she told me at the Gyno office back in April, plus the thyroid disorder. My other Gyno couldn't find any lumps on my neck though in May.

Hi Hatley. I guess my thyroid is still dysfunctional without the lumps, I still don't "right" as far as the thyroid either so it must be something wrong there. I still don't have any meds for it, my own choosing. I just can't afford any more meds til these other hospital bills are at least paid off. What kind of meds do you take for your low thyroid? I think fish oil does help with it too, I have heard that. Hope you are doing much better also. Yes honey was always used for bed sores for many years, I have heard that too.

There is a lot of stuff going around. Some things you can do are to eat a fresh pineapple or juice. The bromelain helps with the inflammation. Also eating horseradish helps kill germs and clear up your sinuses. If it is not something you eat, you can just breathe the fumes. Gargle with warm salt water or use nasal saline spray.

Last week I was really going through a tough time with my sinuses. There were several nights that I was not able to sleep because I kept waking myself up coughing. However, that has finally started to settle down with me now. I hate this time of the year because of the fact that I suffer terribly with my sinuses. It is during the early fall and during the early part of the spring that I suffer the most with problems with my sinuses and having a sore throat.

It is about the change of season, and temperature, or what. I knew some people around me also sick too, and myself was sick last month, but I am well now. I still coughing occasionally though. But some workers at my workplace also got what you got. Maybe it is the change of season, it is autumn now.

Drink a lot of fluids and try to gargle salt and warm water. If you have ginger you cut a small pieces and take it like a candy and soaked it into your mouth.

hi ricki I hope you and your coworkers are not getting the flu but it may just be fall colds but they are really so miserable. 'I once had a strep throat an the only relief I got was sipping ice water. the doctor put me on really powerful antibiotics too.hope you feel better soon.,

That is really terrible i know. I always get that when i eat many biscuit or drink too many milo in one day. Yes the condition is irritating at best so i advice that drink more water and sleep more. Getting more rest can help recovery faster. Hope you get well soon.
