What has made your business grow bigger?

What you noticed what some successful people did to make their businesses grow well? There are too many to mention here. from what I read either in the internet or via books about successful people, I can conclude that all of them love donating or giving alms to charities or poor people. It is the power of giving that has made them successful and rich. The Holy Book of Quran and Bible mention that in our fortune, property or income, there is a little portion that belongs to the poor.
A famous presenter, Ippho "right" Santoso in his book says that one of the secret of getting rich is to maintain horizontal relationship. What he means here is your relationship with other people--poor people, your co workers, neigbors, employees, etc.
The stronger your relationship with them, the easier you get to achieve what you want.
What's your take on this?

Very interesting theory that one. If I had that much money I would be giving it back out to the world the best way I could.
We are not allowed to give money to the poor as we know them in the Street. You can get heavily fined and the other risks being arrested as well.
This is all mainly to do with taxes and such they say it is for safety but if you are smart you can guess who is just asking for money and who really needs it.
I do not have any success in anything at all really and very little money too but the very little I do have I give it out in things like say a tip after going for a Coffee which is just about affordable and the other day we gave money to a man who lives in and around the Motorway Cafes he carries everything he has in a Shopping Trolley.
Anyone I have ever known with money in their hands a lot of it has usually been not how you mentioned like they should be quite the reverse in fact they have been people that hide away from the World so it is a really interesting thing to think about.
But with or without success you have to maintain good relationships in your life with all that you come across so I try to maintain that the best way I can.xxx

Of course not, panhandlers are lazy people. You could go to remote villages to find those poor people who struggle hard to earn a living. In my country there are so many beggars and panhandlers earning money in the street. I give them nothing.

Hiya yanza,
You are right too you know so much of that goes on here that you cannot tell the difference sometimes.
In these cases I do not give them money either if I am doubting whether they are genuine or not.
At the same time my heart sends them a impersonal good wish for them to try to get free from what they are doing as they are only robbing themselves of chances to do and learn something else.
That way I feel I have done much more good than possible harm and I am not feeding anyone in particular.
It really is difficult you know but this is my own personal system that I carry out all the time now.
They use foreign Women a lot here too for that kind of begging they shift them around from one place to the other.

Well, I think that person is right in what he says on his book. Because if you don't have a strong relationship to any person or people near you. You never attain success...because in business. Relationship between client and businessmen, is the strongest method to make more sales and profit...

I forgot one thing. My friend told me that if I failed more than 3 times, I should soon find other things to do. The failure was probably because of the business line being not suitable for me. He said before starting a business, I had to make sure what kind of job really suits me well. What do you think?

It's the act of giving that allows you to be successful. not so much the act of giving money. Giving of your time, your knowlege, of your self with a pure heart. Giving because it feels good, giving because people can use what you have to offer. Helping someone else to become successful is how you grow your business. Giving money to those who need it is fine. Because what ever you put out with good intentions always comes back 10 fold

Well thank for such a lovely discussion. I think to be become rich and successful u need to inculcate a lot of things in yourself. First of all, u need to be focused and firm in order to realize your dreams. Then u need to be always in the state of positivity so that whatever challenges u are made to face, u face it with a smile on your face. Always have right intentions of making money and lastly, u should be hardworking and should be compassionate towards the common people.

What you are saying is true. It will be better if you donate or give alms from what you receive. If you get $10, then $1 should go to charity.
