Does anyone remember where I put my motivation? I can't find it!

I had big plans for today...some fall housework and little extra jobs like hemming two pair of dress pants I just bought. I also wanted to clean the basement and so far I haven't found motivation to start one project. Maybe it's too nice and I would rather be outside. I am not sure what the problem is. Have you had those days where you have lost your motivation and can't find it? Tomorrow I'll be so mad I got nothing done today! LOL

That sounds so familiar! It seems like I do it much too often any more. There are so many things that need doing around here and I just can't seem to get the motivation to actually do them. If you find yours, could you please ask it where mine is? I'm sure they hang out together...

I find that if I don't get started right away in the morning, I never do!

At night before I go to sleep I'll think of all the things that I need to do and by they time I wake up, I'm too tired. Or there's days when I get up full of energy and I do something and it goes wrong, then it seems like everything goes wrong! So, I figure all those things can wait and I'll go outside and the fresh air energizes me, so that the next day I can do what needs to be done. The cleaning and other things can wait til tomorrow!

Hiya jill, How many times have I done that? I am trying to finish a website with such difficult to build webpages. Yesterday I was going to finish it off but did not even get near to it. However I did manage to get the hang of a bit more on zazzle so that was better than nothing. Don´t feel bad about not getting everything done I don´t.xxx

Hiya jill, Have managed to upload it finally the truth is it is not brilliant but it something better than nothing. Its a subdomain too on top so it was really difficult to get my head around it to get it uploaded not so easy as if you have just one domain name. Now I am waiting to see the results I am back promoting it in the traffic exchange for a while to see where it goes.xxx

Hemming your own pants is a big job or it would be in my life since I hate to sew. There's another talent I couldn't master. Yes, I have had days like this too where I just couldn't get my fanny in gear and accomplish anything. Yesterday I was in my thought mode and thought I should do laundry. It never happened! Maybe with enough coffee in my tummy this morning I can motivate myself to accomplish something while I'm home. I can only hope..lol

We all go through this and the good news is that this mood is temporary. It will disappear before you know it. You will get back with a bang all ready and willing to get on with your projects. Even before you read this it must have already happened to you

Of course I know where you put it - the same place I put mine. It's all in the mind, everytime that I plan to do something it always gets put off by circumstances (visitors, telephone calls or other things). It's much better to just do things when they happen without planning, and you get a better sense of satisfaction.

I have experienced this alot! I do this alot before I have to go into work and at times on the weekend. I will make "what to do list" out but lots of times I just won't do things. I rather sleep.watch tv or be on the computer. Right now I have no motivation to do dishes for example! Knowing myself I will be pissed at myself tomorrow for not doing what I wanted to do! I shouldn't but I do! The list will get done but when it is anyone's guess! I don't get very motivated lately! Sad but true!

I've been lacking motivation for weeks. I just feel like I'm constantly busy and I want it to stop, so I procrastinate on all the little things. it doesn't really help, though, because then those things aren't done and it adds up even more.

I did get a few little things done but not the big jobs. Usually I like getting them done and then they are behind me....not this weekend. I think I am just overtired.

Our body and our mind sometimes needs a rest we can't force ourselves to move and do the things we wanted too. I just lay down or watch TV search the net on something coz sometimes I don't like do mylotting also but there are times even I have schedule things to do I'm more eager to do things that not on the plan.

That happens to me too....sometimes when you're lacking motivation, you just need to take some time off and rest. You may be feeling tired and not up to the tasks you've set yourself up to do. Sometimes when I am feeling unmotivated, I sit back and relax; rest a little bit and then go on to do what I set out to do. When I am feeling unmotivated, I know that it means it is time for me ta take a little vacation and let myself unwind. After I do that, I end up feeling much better.

Yes I have had those days. For myself it is best if I write down everything needed to be done in a list on paper prioritizing what needs to be done. It helps with my motivation to do the list. Starting at the top of the list with do no. 1 then go down the list marking off the jobs done. This way you will be sure to do the first job and hopefully more. But even if you do not finish the list you would have accomplished something and not have wasted the whole day. Good luck on your motivation!

I also experienced time that I feel like doing nothing. Just sitting, relaxing and watching TV would be my activities in such circumstance. Maybe for the past few days, you are soaked in many task and your body just wants to sit back and relax.

Hiya jill, Was not going to do nothing yesterday and I have finally been able to set up a room much better than what it was. I also booted out a suitcase that was only bringing me bad memories I got rid of all the stuff and put them in all the correct recycle bins too so that is something else but I had to push everything up hill for them to help me out a little but in the end I did most of it as usual. Pleased with the end results it looks much much better and have a tiny bit more room.xxx

Oh my... There are many days I can highly relate with this one, and I think we have all been there. Today is one of them. Before my Hyperbaric oxygen treatment I was feeling totally motivated and lots of energy, and then afterwards not feeling the Best at all. Not sure what is going on, but needing to get some of my Energy back somehow. I guess we just try and do what we can, and hope to find our motivation somehow. Wonder if it left with the warm weather?
