Have you tried using krpano tools. Is there free software or portable just for educational purposes.

If you are talking about the flash player plug in, no I've never used it. There is some stuff on the web but you need to make sure you have the most updated version. You'll have to pay for that, free will only get you so far. If you are a student you might get a discount but it will just be the basic program.
