If I am not wrong it's 7200 RPM.. then also you can check your hard disk model from http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=770 [not a referral link] all models are of 7200 RPM only.

Hi, Frankly speaking, we (me and the computer tech I worked with in the IT department) have bad experiences with WD HDD. They have a habit of going out without warning and if you have not backed up those precious documents, pictures and videos, then it is time to light a candle in their memory and may they (and you)rest in peace. I was a victim of that once, the only reason I was still clinging to that old Western Digital is its affordability. I am drooling over that Seagate Barracuda and I should get it sooner for the work that I was doing now, a 100-page book containing critical data and I don't want to lose it after many months of desk time, especially during the printing phase. The Barracuda would give me ample time to create a back up, on CD-DVD or flash disks, by giving advance warning that it is about to go to sleep forever.

Hi my friend, i think you can search the net for the information you are looking for. Also you can visit their official website and search the feature of this hard disk, or you can also ask the customer assistant for support. -hope this help.. -happy mylotting--
