Customer Rewards Cards

Many stores (of all kinds) now offer customer reward cards to their customers. It is most common I believe in grocery stores, but other businesses have followed suit, such as restaurants. I have a customer rewards card for Papa Murphys, which gives me a free pizza after I purchase ten. This is an awesome deal. Papa Murphys doesn't have to offer this freebie, but it keeps their customers loyal to the chain and location. Grocery stores give customers discounts when the cards are used or for buying items on sale only for card members. Restaurants have also gotten on board with B1G1free, or free meal after xyz amount purchased. These cards are great for the consumer. Do you have any of these reward cards? And if so, what kind and what kind of perks do you get with it?

I have one for CVS, but I don't feel it's anything spectacular. Maybe if I constantly shopped there I would. I used to have a Borders reward card, but then the bookstore went out of business. I really liked them. I know Walgreens has a new reward card thing going on, but I haven't signed up - yet.

I have the local grocery store loyalty cards, CVS and Walgreen cards as well as a Shell gas card. All of these cards give $ off toward purchases of items in their stores. The Shell gas card gives me money off of gas purchases alone. I have a Kmart card, Big Lots card & these offer $ off on certain items as well. The Kmart card I really like because I can purchase things and get a % saved up on the card then it is free money I can use later. Papa John's pizza offers points if you order pizza online. I always order our pizza online. After you rack up 25 points you get a free large 2 item pizza. I have used this several times because they are the only place that delivers out here in my area.

no but I used to have one for a pharmacy. When it was time to get a cash back, they said I didn't tell them in time and so it would have to roll over to the next time period. I stopped using the card and their store after that.

I try not to get too many, they take up too much space then the junk mail you get after signing up :) I have them only for stores I use regularly. Essentially they are for money off purchases and some with fuel points.

The stores that I shop at semi frequently that have rewards cards are sears, kmart, barnes & noble and acmoore. Barnes and noble and acmoore I havent earned enough points yet to get a reward but with sears and kmart as I buy things I earn points and I can use the points as cash on the next purchase to discount the total. Its like 1000 points are equal to $1. I think I have only earned a few days in rewards in the past few years with these reward cards lol.
