Jesus, like many others who have sought to bring enlightenment, chose poverty in goods so that he could be an example of the wealth of spirit. He had nothing and yet he always had food, shelter and clothing. He wanted to show that God would care for His children and you could have everything you need if you only lived by faith and love. Look at Mother Theresa, an angel of love and charity who lived in poverty. Ghandi, although educated as a lawyer, chose to live a very simple life free of material encumbrance in order to make his message of love and peace clear to everyone. It's hard for people to believe talk of faith and love and sacrifice from someone who lives in a mansion with servants.

well if you think that is is up to you and no one is gonna force you not to believe that or something. I mean, yeah he was a poor man and he showed us the path, to be humble, he did miracles and he gave us the power to do the miracles as he did but we are so involved in the sin that we can't do crap of miracle. He has survived all the conditions in life and forgave people. He is the Path and he is the light and he is a miracle working man. He can do anything. But yet he chose to be poor to show the path to the people. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

what is P.B.U.H. you write it all the time but I don't know what you mean. Jesus was born into a poor working class family, he was a carpenter by trade.

Jesus may not have been "wealthy" as some might put it. But he had enough money that Judas had to be his treasurer. I do not know of any truly poor person who has to have someone manage their money.

I think that Judas was not Jesus' treasurer but held the money of the disciples generally. He was certainly not, as you make him sound, Jesus' financial advisor all the best urban

Hi. Tushavi, greetings. First I am curious about P.B.U.H. , can you please give the full meaning. Second, My Jesus opted to become poor so that all those who believe in Him might be rich. Have a nice day.

God's intention was for Jesus to be poor, that's why he was born unto a carpenter and his wife. God also wanted Jesus to be of small stature and a frail body not big, muscled and strong in body. He wanted Jesus' followers to follow Him because of his strength of faith and wealth of the Holy Spirit. Jesus dedicated his life to bringing the gospel to the people, teaching them about God's love and giving the ultimate sacrifice of Himself so that "who-so-ever believeth in him may have everlasting life". God knew people would be quick to follow a wealthy man or a big strong man, but he wanted them to follow Jesus out of faith and love.

For a rich man to gain such influence is a lot easier than for a poor man. Jesus, influence is a result of his teachings and cannot be mistaken as influence bought by power or wealth all the best urban

Dude! I am curious if your God in your own religion is rich with full of luxuries? What does he have man? I also respect it man if that is the case so nothing against. I really like how Jesus humbly became an influence and role model to the nation especially on how He was able to preach. Jesus have also shown His sacrifice to save us from all our sins. That is what He did. If you think Jesus is poor then He is our Hero in our hearts forever.

He was the son of Almighty, the first born of all ,who had come down to earth,to be poor so that we will be rich,he never cared for riches but to save the human kind from their sins by sacrificing himself on the cross. The sinless son of God was Sacrificed for the sins of the whole world and if you believe this with all faith, your sin will also be forgiven.Riches are like rags, when you compare the Almighty's love for us.Please taste and know this love, then you will understand that riches when compared to his love has no value.
