Last summer I had a look at our bank accounts and I was shocked to see the amount of money that we spent on unneccesary things every month and I decided to change that. We changed our spending habits in June last year and we started saving up part of our salaries each month. I am happy that say that it worked. We were really able to change our habits and we managed to save up a lot of money for our trip. I think that it is easier to save money when you have a goal and if know how you are going to spend the money that you save. When you feel tempted to spend money on unneccesary things focus on your goal and the happiness that you will feel when you are able to achieve your goal.

Saving money is easy - just don't spend it. Stay out of the stores except for essentials. Predetermine what you need and stick to it.. Don't go to bars. prepare your own meals at home. Use coupons. Go to movies in the afternoon rather than at night, if it is cheaper then. Stay away from the concession stands. Watch sports on TV instead of going to the games, or get interested in little league games; they are usually free. Cancel your gym membership and take up jogging instead. Good luck.

I am trying very hard to save money at the moment, as I need to buy a property and there is no way that I am going to be able to do so unless I gather some cash up fairly quickly. I need £30,000 to be able to buy the flat that I want, and I currently have about £8,000 of that. I cannot get a mortgage because it is such a low amount. However I am finding that there are lots of ways that I can save money, including thinking about the food that I am buying and getting things that are slightly lower brands. It is much more fun actually, because you can plan different types of meals than you might have done in the past.

I'm having a hard time, but not an impossible time, saving money. I'm trying to get out of debt, so that is where most of my money goes, in paying my bills. To keep from spending money unnecessarily, I made a New Years resolution not to buy anything that is not a necessity. So far, I have succeeded, but it hasn't been easy.

If your salary is only helping you to meet bare necessities,do not try to save now and add more tension. If you have the requisite experience, try for a job that will pay you more for your work, otherwise try to get a job that suits your interest.Once you are relaxed, find ways for improving your skills that will help you to get a better paid job.Do not leave your current job, till you get a better one. When you are settled and relaxed, plan your expenses and make a budget for your expense and see that your expense stay within the limit of your budget. This will help you to control your expense and save.

What I can suggest you is that go for software like money manger to track your expense and how you bargain each day. Also look for other schemes like Fixed Deposit or Recurring Deposit or others will help you save money and earn money.

I gotta admit that i also find it hard to save money. with most of my salary going to the bills and house I really need to be more firm as to what i do really and with that includes saving of money and trying not to have over expenses.

its not that hard to wave money. just stay out of stores and plan ahead when you want to buy something. don't use credit cards and always make a list when you are shopping and stick to the list.

You are probably spending money you're not even aware of. For a whole week, spend as you normally do but write down every single thing you buy--snacks, transportation, reading material, even a small amount you put in a vending machine. At the end of the week, total up what you spend in various categories--food, travel, the energy bill, gas, dinners in restaurants, etc. You will probably see that you spend a lot in one area and that you could cut down. Once you know how much you truly need, take that much and use it and put the rest in a savings account. That's how I do it. I even repeat the process every few months to see if my needs are changing so I can take that into account. I manage to save a tidy sum and I'm always glad I do when something unexpected comes up and I have the money to pay for it.

I guess its not easy to save money now a days as in my case i have a lot of expenses to pay knowing that im the only person working for my own and my daughter. We live alone so i burden all the expenses, i know i can just leave my daughter with my parents in the province so i can save a lot money specially for rent and electricity as what they're telling me but i don't care as long as im with my little daughter besides it makes me happy with her and for me happiness is very important as i can't buy besides what will i do with so much money if im not happy, im kind of selfish though

A pleasant day Tushavi, It is really quite difficult to save money especially if you are tempted to buy a lot of things. But, despite of, you need to do your savings for your future needs. In your situation, perhaps try to save a little amount out from your salary. Thus saving a small amount will not really disturbed your daily budget allowance. Example if you are earning $100 then maybe you can save around $5 out from the $100 you are earning. Hence, the amount you save is really unnoticeable and will not hamper your daily budget needs.
