Why I prefer Cars for travelling

Although I have used almost all types of vehicles for traveling but the best option is your own car.Because when you are riding a smooth perfect vehicle at a motorway ,life seems to be very speedy.I really enjoy the long drive at motorways but without a perfect car having perfect tires you cant enjoy the ride. The thrill and sensation of driving the car like a bullet is amazing. As much you accelerate the car it adds to your thrill. Moreover getting closer to your destination is another benefit.Whereas in train or planes you are totally relying on somebody else.In your own car you are the boss.It obeys your command and gives you delight.Whenever you have the money do buy a brand new car.It will take you in anew horizon. What do you think is the best mode of traveling?

It depends for some traveler. Personally, I would prefer to walk and commute from one place to another. If I am with friends or family, I prefer to travel in car. Have a great day!

I don't drive actually because even if I tried learning this skill I think I really am not for driving. I could not be a good driver for many reasons. Nevertheless I have two good drivers. First is my husband and the other one is my son. Indeed when any of them is the one driving for me I feel secure and safe. I never feel that safe with other drivers but of course I acknowledge first and foremost that our ultimate safety is in the hands of God. So I make sure we pray and ask God's protection before the engine starts. I prefer to travel using our own car. Commuting is hard. Indeed there are so many bad drivers. The public utility vehicles are almost always driven by reckless drivers. They'd drive so fast as they could to earn as much as they could. They don't even mind if their passengers are still in good condition.

I finally passed my practical driving test in 2010 and I had got my car in 2006. I very much like driving my car however petrol is ever so expensive in my home country. I aim to fill my car up with 40 pounds of fuel per month. December is the most pricey month because I have to take my car for a service, a MOT test, get new car insurance and new road tax. In addition it is Christmas time at that time of the year. This year I began getting Christmas presents in September so I can spread the cost to be able to afford to pay all that out for my car. In July at the start of the summer school holidays I took my disabled son and my daughter to Cornwall for a week in our car. We had a really fantastic time and it was wonderful to drive where we wished to go on days out. My favorite sort of transport is train. In the day time I can look out of the window and in the night time I can sleep in a comfortable compartment. I have a Friends and family Railcard to get low cost train fares. One day I will have to buy a wheelchair accessible car due to my disabled son becoming too heavy to fit in a normal car.

I travel cars only! You just get so much more fun from the experience. Granted if time is an issue that could be a problem but if I can drive there..I will drive. I think of all the places and things I would miss if going by plane or train or even bus. I can Stop when I want to, or don't want to..where I want or don't want to. Side trips are always fun and even just exploring the city! I say car all the way!

Yes, if I did own a car I would be spending a lot more of my time travelling to destinations inside my car. Because I do have to rely totally on myself for travelling rather than have someone or something else determine when I do arrive at the place I want to go. Its fun to travel on the road by myself and get to see all the different stuff around me and see all new things.

I agree that your own car is the best way of travelling. Esp in my country, although the roads are very full and the costs are sky high. Still the costs for bus, train is way higher. Also the kind of weather we have over here (mostly rain) makes travelling with your own car more comfortable as waiting for a bus that won't show up or standing at a train station (going over there by bus first) in cold, rain, wind for a train that is not only expensive but also delayed again. The only problem with a car is that it is seldom: smooth and perfect no matter how good you take care of it.

If it is a long distance travel like from state to a far away state, I would hate to travel in a car , I don't think I do good in road trips in car, I have no patience for riding for hours and hours; I would prefer riding on a plane which is a lot faster, still have to wait but it takes a lot lesser time to get to the destination. If it is short distance, I would drive for sure, I don't prefer riding on public vehicles.

Hey glad to hear that u like car driving just as me. When u are riding a car, u are very much in control of yourself and u are in all your senses and a feeling of responsibility rides over your head. Besides the pleasure and fun of going for long drives using one's can is unimaginable and incomparable. U can reach a destination faster than most of the two wheelers using a car. What say?

well i didnt even try to travel with cars although i travel only in planes and here is why. it is because i feel traveling in cars takes alot of time and maybe really dangerous to do it. however the plane you feel rested and calm and you reach there fast where you feel some pain in your ears and thats it happy mylotting

Agree agree agree! I love long drives and exploring new destinations on car. It saves you a lot on transportation. You can start at your convenience, no need of baggage claims, baggage restrictions, TSA checking and blah! You simply pack your bags and leave! Of course, with the fuel rates going up, it is kinda tough but given a chance, it's always road trips for me! You can stop to take pictures while you explore new routes. You can figure out a lot about the new places when you drive to them..it's a whole new experience..and those who love to travel, will understand this feeling!
