GMA to run for congress again

I heard the news that former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has filed her candidacy for congress for the 2013 elections. Her son is the one who filed the said candidacy. I am not against the said intention since every citizen here in our country are allowed to file their candidacy for any political positions. However, I just thought that with her current situation particularly in her health issues, could she still serve her district and represent them in the congress? Furthermore, she was being arrested for the cases she had right now, although she was not yet proven guilty. What do you think fellow Pinoy mylotters?

True enough, she has a lot of things to attend for herself on her health and for legal suits filed against her. I think she is just doing this to evade the cases being filed against her. Being on the congress will somehow invoke some kind of power to evade the cases filed against her. I just hope that she quits politics now that she has hard time attending to Congress sessions.

I think even there are many filed cases against her, we cannot prevent her from running any government position since she was not yet proven guilty by the judicial parties. But with her current health condition, representing her district in the congress might be difficult for her. I think she really needs to quit for the election.

I think she should start thinking about her health than that of her political career. I think she is trying her best to put her name in the right perspective since she just ended in a very bad light in her presidency so I do believe she is trying to correct it by staying in power even to his own constituents in Pampanga. But I think her health is taking its toll already and that should be a concern for her.

I guess Gloria Arroyo is not that interested in running for public. She might be substituted by her daughter, the only one not yet in public office. There goes the dynasty again.

I don't know what are really their plans in the politics. But as I heard, she had already filed her candidacy to run for the congress again. Filing of her candidacy was made by her son.

I don't know about that province why she is being allowed to run there. but possibily due to the things she did there, one of my friends there said she's good there but i have no clue. I think she shouldn't run at all because of her cases but with the people believing in her, who are we to judge if her own turn wants her to run again.

I think she came from Lubao, Pampanga. Given that she really does many things in the said district and that is perhaps the reason why she was kept being voted by the the residents. However, with her current health condition, voters in her district must think if they can still be represented in the congress if she won. You are right, we are not in the position to judge her just by what we are hearing and seeing in the news.

Hi, Now that she has a new warrant of arrest with no bail recommended, she may run her election from a hospital bed, the way some of the accused seek the excuse for being put in prison.

Since she is not yet proven guilty by the court she is still allowed to run for the congress. Do you think she can really represents her district in the congress if she won? That is one of the foolishness of voters in their area.
