Hi! I have not heard or read that banana could also be used for nourishing or thickening our hair. I understand its used for cleaning face. Its peel is also used to shine leather shoes. I think it gives maximum benefit when eaten or taken as banana shake. I love to eat it regularly.

I don't like bananas, don't even like the smell. Hmmmm, "don't like" might be too mild a term for how I feel about them. The fact is, according to my allergy doc, that bananas aggravate the corn allergy so the feelings about bananas probably come because they make me feel even worse than I normally do...

I once read a discussion on banana peel and tooth whitening. I searched for it on the internet and found that these peels are rich in potassium and magnesium and so should and can be used for tooth whitening and also getting rid of stains on the tooth. Right now I am trying out that. And also experimenting using these peels to remove some minor stains on the utensils, though this later one doesnt seem to work right... but I am still doing my research on the internet and hope that this will work for good.

Well, we have utilized banana's versatility mainly in eatable stuff. We have had in Banana shake, fruit salad, as a plain fruit, and as a vegetable. For Vegetable, we need raw bananas- we cannot eat those Raw bananas as such, but have them cooked. Then, we also have heavy as well as lighter fried banana chips as well.

Haven't tried that yet. Well we always eat bananas because this fruit has all benefits. I have read an article about bananas with black spots. The more spots the banana has, the more that it can prevent cancer.

Not only are bananas one of the healthiest foods, they are also very affordable. I can buy a bunch of bananas for under $1.00 and they would last at least two days. I have never used bananas as a face mask, but it sounds like an interesting idea. I think it would probably pull the face tighter and reduce the look of wrinkles. Good idea, thank you for sharing.

I love bananas; also banana bread and choco-banana shake. I have heard of the banana as a facial mask, but this is the first time I'm hearing of the hair mask. Aside from that, bananas also help prevent cramps. I learned this during our team building which was held in a beach. There are bananas served in every table; we were told by the facilitator that it prevents cramps when we swim.

Yes, I agree that there are a lot of health benefits that you can get from eating bananas. The riper it is the healthier it is. It can actually help you lose weight if you eat it as breakfast. Eat 2 large bananas with one full glass of warm water. I have lost 20 pounds since I started this kind of diet. Try it out! :)

Yeah, banana. I like Bananas. But I can't eat too many bananas at the same time. It makes my body hot and I start to sweat. I don't know why. I don't want to put them on my head. You said, your head felt heavy. I don't like that feeling at all. I think bananas are to put into your stomach and not on your head or face. Even looking at bananas make me feel happy. Have you ever watched a monkey leaping from one tree to another? Where do they get that kind of strength and agility? It comes from ample supply of bananas. Martial artists love bananas. If you don't believe me, just watch one of those Tai Chi movies. Now we have bananas available everywhere. They are cheap. But it wasn't like this all the time. There was a point of time when bananas became scarce. That caused the extinction of dinosaurs.

Thanks for sharing this information riyauro. I didn't know that banana is good for people who want to gain weight. I am not a fan of banana, even banana split has no appeal to me, but I am underweight so I think it is the right time to try eating banana. I normally eat papaya as one of my friends usually supplies us but I add milk and sugar to eat it. I would love to try the formulation for hair mask as I don't usually go to salon. Another good thing about banana is you can find it anytime and mostly everywhere and is more affordable than any other fruits.

ohh i know we gain weight if we eat too much of banana so i eat very less and never have banana milk shake because of the weight fear. I never heard of the hair pack. What is the use of this pack ? do we get thick hair? I don't like fruit packs on face as they give us some itchy sensation. I have tried few like tomato , grapes and strawberry i got some itchy sensation on the face .so never ever applied again. May be because i have a sensitive skin so it didn't suit me.
